  1. I'm starting to agree with you. It seems that everyone has sizing experiences differing from the standard. Doing what rnrswitch recommends is one of the only ways to guard against problems, especially when ordering from overseas, because BIG's sizing guidelines just don't apply when ordering the exact same pair from a rakuten shop. Crazy shit.

My lot 12 S0500xx's from BiG were an inch off from the BiG webstore measurements.

Lol so I am not even sure if you can trust BiG's measurements on the site.

Don't know if mine were an isolated incident, but I remember someone mentioning they had a similar problem.

  2. Yeah Jay Z would look so much better in the sized down 3 sufu fit

    He's a fucking rapper.

Haha advising Jay to sufu fit wasn't really what I was trying to imply....

Just sayin he looks a little silly, but to each his own.

  3. That's a good idea. I'm not too familiar with LVC, but the 78 strikes me as a cut that can be sized down successfully.

Plus, that will add variety to the fits.

Yeah it seems pretty full cut and I've squeezed myself into smaller so it should be :D

  4. That was me. I'd heard different stories about how the 83's fit, but Joe set me straight. Plus, I'm not a big fan of the shallow arctuates.

If Cultizm could have gotten 83's in a smaller size however, I might have tried them sized down. It would be really cool if someone represented that fit though.

    I'm gonna size down the 78s. I'm a true 33.5 to 34 and I'm gonna grab these in a 32.

  5. well that sucks...I can't believe the whole sizing issue thing. Its so ridiculous. Hopefully all of this will change next year when LVC is run by the much smaller organization "XX".

    +1

The shrink to tagged size seems to be a surefire way to avoid unncessary confusion, but this logic has thus far failed to catch with the lvc people.

I agree, we need to set the date ASAP.

agreed. it would motivate people who were on the fence imo.

  6. For those of you interested in sizing,

I just receive my 47's from cultizm for the lvc contest. They are a tagged 36x36.

Interestingly, the waste measured big style came out to 18.25 so just a hair OVER tagged size. In any case, mine definitely did not measure to a 35 and I guess I'm exchanging for a 34 which hopefully won't measure 33 = X

  7. ^

    Will do.

    A 35 pre-soak would ideal, but I could definitely squeeze a pre-soak measured 34 if I have to.

I'm just worried that this 36 was an aberration and I'll end up with a tagged 34 that measures 33. That would be pushing it size wise for me.

Why oh why does lvc have to such ludicrous and nonsensical sizing?

Oh well, I guess sizing debacles come with the lvc territory.

  8. For those that care,

    I just got my 1947's tagged 36x36.

They actually measured 18.25 inches in the waist....so a little over the tagged size and definitely not 1 inch undersized...looks like I'll be having to exchange = (.

  9. Doh. Missed the Fedex guy.

Guess I'll have to go pick them up at the pick-up spot. 2 days from DE to TX is awesome though.

I don't really care when we start. God knows I already have too many pairs of jeans anyways.

  10. do chippewa engineers fit true to size? and does any one have fit pics?

I just got these in the mail today ---> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110424129418&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

It's a pretty bad picture they have on the auction. They are much darker in real life. I wasn't really planning on buying them but for $100 shipped they were a steal.

    As far as sizing.....

My Chippewa engineers feel about a half size large. However I ordered them TTS and I just stuck an insole in there and with boot socks they feel great.

For reference I wear an 10.5 in chucks, 10.5 in desert boots, 11d in the red wing iron ranger and 11d in Lucchese (not that I think any of yall wear cowboy boots).

    Hope this helps.
