  1. wow....EB paying attention....I actually like the look of that shirt. Probably the nicest looking sub-$100 chambray I've seen. The asym pocket setup is nice and surprising to see from someone like EB.

  2. Was visiting NYC this past week and stopped into BiG today before heading home. Picked up a pair of the SDA 703s for my gf. Totally guessed on the size, but used the info from kayodic and tvshooter (thanks for the pics and sizing information, it was a great help).....here is hoping that they fit!

  3. The new monitaly waxed canvas pants on context are so super dope, curious though as to how water resistant they will be.

saw them in the shop this past week....even better in person! I don't know about the waterproofness of them, but they look awesome. The wax parka is similarly amazing....I want it bad.

  4. zakurie- those look great, is that the regular or swing last? Love the new color and the medallion toe cap (though that seems to be a bit of a misnomer as it isn't really a medallion at all....but looks great)

l1mab3an- those look great, I love a suede boot for fall.

  5. I just picked up a FW11 Wings+Horns tiger fleece hoodie the other day....it's very thick and very warm. This thing is going to be great come winter and it's also very nicely constructed and has a good fit as well.

  6. the chinos look good.

I like the look of the RRL but the made in china bit always throws me...

I like their details, although fake, are a nice touch...

I recently picked up a pair of these myself and was put off by the "made in china" thing for a long time. I'm glad I got over it though as these are fantastic chinos with excellent construction. I usually stick to US and Japan manufacture, but RRL is quality stuff I've learned.

  7. nice price on a killer shirt. I have the IHSH-21 and it's by far the nicest chambray I've seen (and I've seen and owned many). I paid full price for mine and it was worth it.

  8. HH- I don't believe they are, I've purchased two pair from them off Ebay and they seem first quality to me, never found a flaw in either of them.....and I'm damn picky (and have sent a pair back that I ordered direct from White's once for a nasty little awl scratch).

  9. DenimDad- nice semi-dress, I love a cap toe SD boot and it looks like you have a couple nice ones. I have to say i prefer the look of the standard last a little more but the Swing last is a better fit for me....I think my next pair will have to be on the Swing last again. Be sure to post some pics once they get some wear on them.

  10. Lots of great stuff for sale. Shipping is $10 for the boots, $7 for shirts/jacket. Paypal accepted.

Alden Indy boots size 11 D. These are the newer leather lined version and are great boots, unfortunately they are just a little too small for me. I've worn them a handful of times and that is it. Couple light scuffs that a coat of polish would probably completely vanish. They have been treated with Obenauf's and always had shoe trees when not being worn. $330

Next up, another pair of boots that are just a little on the small side unfortunately. White's Semi-Dress in size 11 D. These are on the standard semi-dress last in British tan leather with leather lining. This has the Vibram "cowboy" sole which has a very nice taper in the waist making it pretty sleek looking while maintaining the versatility of a rubber sole. Like the Indys these have been worn a handful of times and have a few scuffs but that is it, I've only had these for a month or two. $330

Woolrich Wollen Mills Trail Parka in green, size medium. This is the jacket that is sold out everywhere and is a wonderful spring/fall lightweight parka. I love it but it's just not something I reach for very often...I'm much more of a dark earth-tones type of guy and so buying a bright jacket was a bit of an experiment. Worn a couple times but shows no wear. $375

  11. Thanks guys! These were ordered exactly 5 weeks ago from yesterday when they showed up. They quoted a 5-6 week build time, so when you figure in shipping time I figure they beat their estimate by a solid week or two.

The British tan is great. Yes, it's pretty similar to Chromexcel actually, but just a little lighter shade and not quite as soft....sort of in between Chromexcel and standard semi-dress leather in both feel and thickness. Great stuff and looks way better in person, lots of depth and variation to the color which I love.

  12. Well, my gamble paid off. Ordered some Semi-Dress 1/2 size smaller then previous because they always felt just a touch big....I was very scared they would arrive and be too small but luckily they fit great. They are also probably my ultimate White's boot build. After having a good number of pairs of White's I really figured out what I wanted in an every-day wear pair of boots. My build:

    Semi-Dress

    British tan leather

    cream leather lining

    all antique eyelets

    Vibram 269 sole

    brown edge

    standard trim

    standard heel

    standard last

Love the sole, I wanted the versatility of rubber but liked the sleek look of my old single leather soles. The tapered waist of the 269 sole makes for a perfect compromise. The British tan leather looks even better then I had hoped.

    Anyway, on to the pics.
