Small update on my Tellason shirt after 2 washes. Weather is finally breaking and i can start wearing it again. I havent worn my Stevensons in awhile and have kind of given up on them for the time being. Im entering the Left Field Black Maria contest and hoping that its cool  i restart my jeans half with those for the remainder of this contest too!

Hey whats up guys and thanks to christian for letting me jump  in last minute on this contest. This will be my first pair of raw black jeans and i couldnt be happier theyre from Left Field. Ive been into denim for about 6 years now and i entered the denim world championship  but after 3 months I wasnt feeling the jeans I entered with so I kind of dropped out. Im hoping I can reenter with my  black marias and kill both contest at once. I currently live in Philadelphia.

I bartend at a music venue and do odd jobs for a living. Ill be working on getting my welding certification over the next few months and hope to eventually get into the automotive fabrication business. Cars are my main hobby I spend everyday doing something car related. Besides that stuff I like weightlifting and eating food. Its funny that almost everyone is into coffee too because I love coffee. Maybe we could get some sort of LF BM SUFU Coffee exchange going on for this contest too!

Ill be making myself a new belt specifically for this contest and tracking the progress of how it ages over the next year of wear. Looking forward to meeting everyone. If anyone is in the Philly area lets meet up and talk coffee, jeans, cars, or whatever!

The greasers become to wide at the bottom by the time I hem or cuff them. I think the Chelseas would work I was nervous the chinos I just got were going to be tight in the thigh and they're plenty big.

Make me one off Charles Atlas black marias!!!

i really wanna join the contest but I really dont think either fit works for me. their both to slim in the thigh ;(

@superj I've got the wool flannel on supersale right now. It's too hard to sell wool, nobody buys it until it's cold and by then nobody wants it unless it on sale and post Christmas is fire sales on wool unfortunately.

I'm living in fishtown right now, I'm originally from the northeastern part of Pennsylvania. Coal mine land which is why I've always been way into Left Field!

My favorite fitting pants ive ever owned. I sized these in a 34 if i wanted to do a pair of Black Marias which cut and size would fit me best?

I'd end up going with a pair of left field Black Marias, for the soul reason that I find myself wearing black denim far more often.

I like the Stevensons but sometimes I wish they fit me a little differently. We will see what happens after I patch the crotch up.

So what are the chances of me being able to change my denim to something else after I've already started a thread and everything?

I just figured with companies like left field putting out some unique chinos it's possible but I do understand it would become boring

I vote for a chinos contest, I've realized I much prefer wearing chinos over jeans and think it would be cool to see everyone's evolution. Plus denim isn't always allowed in the work place but you can probably get away with chinos, which means more wear time for people! Just a thought.

Or a black denim conest.

Ended up buying the forest green denim chinos. Hoping they hold up as I expect them to.

I'm dying for a pair of left field chinos anyway, hoping to rotate the two.

How do I go about sizing the new indigo chinos? If I were a 34 in the miner cut would I be better off going with a 35 or a 34 and hoping it stretches? Are these going to shrink at all?

Haven't had an update in awhile, I blew the crotch out in my jeans and lost interest in wearing them for the past few weeks because of it. Hopefully getting them repaired soon!

Prewash pictures, haven't had a chance to get post wash pictures yet. Im at the 2.5months mark on these and they're coming along nicely. I made a big update on both on the DWC forum. 

Any size charts on the new fit?

Hey its been quite some time since I've been on here! I got distracted with some other things and then went away for 10 days hiking and camping. I took a ton of pictures so don't mind my lengthy update! Im at about 7 weeks of wear on my jeans. At the 8 week mark I'm going to give them a cold wash and hang dry. My shirt is at about 5 weeks of wear I'm going to cold wash them with the jeans. The shirt has never been washed/soaked.

Thats all i have for now I'm going to take a lot more pictures before and after the wash a long with detail shots for the challenge. Hope everyone is enjoying their jeans as much as i am!

I sweat like a madman, it's awful!

Can anyone recommend me some options on taking in the waiSt of my jeans? I'd say half to a full inch would be perfect. Right now with my belt pulled all the way they just bunch up and look weird and still end up sagging !

That jacket looks beautiful, I'd also look into Schott. I stopped in their store yesterday, amazing stuff in there!
