I'll say sorry in advance for stupidity..
I've been wanting to get a French press for a while now to make a few cups in the morning. How is the quality on bodum? Theres a press for sale on gilt right now, is it worth buying?

Decided to put this to the side and just skim through it when I'm bored and I wanted to start some other stuff. Going to start this tonight, hopefully I'll enjoy this until school starts on Tuesday and my reading slows way down.

I'll be visiting Chicago next weekend. Looking for
CD/Record stores: I went to jazz mart last time I was here and want to revisit. What are some other stores that I should take a look in?
Bookstores: Going to stop at quimbys and myopic in wicker park. Am I missing anything? What else is there besides Powell's?
As far as shopping I don't have much to spend and am just looking for some basics so I figured I'll just walk around Wicker Park and see if I see anything at the resale shops. Also going to stop by Belmont Surplus. Are there any neat stores downtown worth looking in?
Food: Probably just going to stop somewhere near where we are. Looking for pizza/mexican/hotdogs/ etc.
I might be staying with friends in Naperville or just finding a hotel downtown. Also, any good coffeeshops?

Although I will be honest and say I didn't pay much attention to Holland until last year so I guess you're right

Does anyone know where I can still get a holland jersey(medium) that will arrive by Saturday? Everywhere seems to be sold out and a lot of the jerseys on ebay look like fakes.

Can anyone recommend a good winter shell that will keep me warm and dry with layers underneath that is relatively cheap?

All of my friends are out of town so I just sat on the porch reading and listening to music while scarfing down ice cafe au lait all day. I can deal with that.

Just finished Running Away by Jean-Philippe Toussaint and now its on to this. If I don’t like it after a little bit of time I’m not going to read it because I have such a long reading list.
Has anyone read it? How is it?

Can someone show me a good link on a good running technique? I have gotten very out of shape and put on weight that I'm trying to lose so I figured starting to run is the best thing to do, but I don't think my technique is right and I don't want to cause injuries. Should I just try to build up my distance everyday?

Hey everyone,
I've been trying to get a fixed together for a while but I have been in debt and I now finally have the money. A year ago or so I bought a very cheap conversion on a Univega Sportour frame, made of almost all old parts. As I was riding it a pedal fell off. It seems like the cranks are stripped. Now that I have money I'm looking into fixing it back up. I think I might as well buy new cranks, a chain, and a cog, but this is where I am clueless to what I should be looking into. What are some good parts I could buy? I already bought mks pedals+cages and have a pretty nice seat so I am good to go with that. I have around $500 but would prefer to spend as little as possible. I just want a bike to commute and get back in shape on.
I'm also considering just buying a complete to save the hassle of fixing back up this conversion. I looked on bikesdirect and am sort of overwhelmed. I'm consider the Windsor Hour because I have read that it has the best wheelset, and I think all of the bikes in my range are so similar I might as well get the hour and have money for parts.
What do you guys think?

I'm hesitant to post this here but I might as well. Here is a project we did for my first hour photojournalism class. It may not be the best, I have found some typos and the photos could be better, but considering most of us on this project don't have much experience, I'm pretty happy with it, especially for a first level high school class.

Research paper time in Honors American lit...
I chose Breakfast of Champions because I've heard a lot of good things about it in here and Vonnegut is obviously a great writer. Did I make a good choice? I have to write ten pages on it
