Afternoon,
Been a while since i've posted so I thought it was about time I gave and update on my 1901s. They are in really bad need of a wash, they've got a really good oily sheen on them at the moment
Just to give the history of then, bought in may 09 and have been warn about two thirds of the time since then so that's nearly a solid year of wear. They were given an initial soak and one further cold soak due to an unfortunate incident with a child and an egg.
Here's what they looked like in may 09
And then in nov lst year

I have the Miner. Thinking about the cougar boot cut for my next pair...or one of the jackets.
Any chance of a fit pick of the miners?

Poly, those look sweet man. You're a little ahead of my cougars of the same denim. Plus repped

There you go TheClerk, your jeans are genuine worn out threads plain and simple. They have no intrinsic value, but they are valuable to you because they are YOUR jeans, a part of you -- your second skin -- that will give you pleasure for many more years to come. For as beautiful as they are, if you were to say I could have them at no cost, I wouldn't take them. They're worn out dirty jeans that are unique to you and your lifestyle, not mine. On the other hand, if they were my dirty worn out jeans, I wouldn't part with them for any price either.
Thanks for posting those again they're some of the best keepin' it real jeans I've seen here.
Thanks I appreciate the compliment and the sentiment 100%

You never know!
I sold a bunch of nicely worn-in Lees on SuFu for cheap a couple years ago. One little sh*t turned his pair round eBay for over $120 IIRC... would be an interesting experiement to try again
Noooo, can't take these away from me, even for moni£$

Yeah, if distressed denim is worth so much more than raw does that mean my real beat up 33's are worth double what I paid for them 6 years ago? Don't think they are...

Stop posting shots of the 1915's they're too big for me... but you're making me want em,,,,,
Nice jeans Shorty

Yes, it's no problem, I just different coloured thread for the top stitch and the loop stitch.

Thanks, that's cool... although I think they're too big. Really don't want to have to do a long hot soak so as to shrink them. I'm quite tempted to go down the wear the before you soak em route for my next pair.

Reading over the last couple of pages it seems quite apparent to me that pretty much all of you guys who contribute to this thread (I do read alot more than I contribute) love your denim for pretty damn straight up reasons. And why shouldn't you, if the stuff makes you look and feel good? There's nothing wrong with building a collection
To that end, I want to add to my little stash of LVC. I have a pair of 33's now retired, some 47's which are now fairly battered and some 1901's. I want to add some 1915's to the mix, but with all the weird up down sizing issues going on, can anyone tell me what the waist size will be like compared with the 1901's? I have the 01's in a 30 from spring 09 season and they fit really well. Don't wanna get this wrong due to the lack of belt loops.

Dr House, glad you got your jeans back ok. Again sorry for the delay with those.
Almost nice, wtf? So these got lost on the way to me and then lost again on the way back to you?
Mr Black - 3 union specials? Not expecting an answer to this, but, where the hell did you find three? Took me about two years to track down one and get the parts to get it running well.

Also I have to say that I was not aware of the fact that there's now another chainstitching service out there.
However, having checked the link to Tenue de Nîmes' blog, I have to say I don't think they're using a Union Special. I may of course be wrong on this one.... But the tell tale sign is that the photo they have posted does not show any twisting on the hem. You can see that the inseam is perfectly in line. If they had used a 43200G the seam would be at a significant angle. You can see this in the pick below:
It's the hem twist that gives the roping guys

Thank you both for the compliments.
The reason why so little fabric seamed to be removed from your full counts, is that there's quite a lot of material rolled within the hem itself.

Ooops. Oh well. At the risk of posting more time wasting questions, can any one tell me / point me in the direction of information as to what the deal is with "Black Creek' denim?

Thought people might be interested - found an online shop that I've not seen mentioned on here before. They have a sale of LVC at the moment

I'd never soak your jeans without being given express instructions to do so - that's between a man and his jeans and those two only.

I've been having a few teething problems... I screw flew off that keeps one of the feeder loops for the threads in place. Because of this there's been a little delay to a few people waiting on their jeans.
Got it all sorted today though. So, Pomata, Skeese, and Maynard Freeman, yours will all be in the post tomorrow. Paul T I've done your Lees too.

Cross posted from the LVC Thread... I thought that a look at my brothers 201'a might be of interest. I bought them for him in December 07 from Libertys in London. They're a size 32 32. Not sure how many times he's washed them... not many

No, true to size and they're actually a little loose on him. It was the fit of these on him that made me go for a 30 rather than 32 on my 1901's. He just wore em hard

Following all the fuss about 201's last week, I thought that a look at my brothers 201'a might be of interest. I bought them for him in December 07 and I can assure you they're genuine ... at least that's unless Libertys in London's been selling fakes. They're a size 32 32. Not sure how many times he's washed them... not many

That's the one, on Royal Hill. A mate of mine used to work in there when I first started in the market. I used to slope off there on really slow afternoons
