cross-posted from the evolution thread, my current 66OW, with an older pair of 66 in the contrast pics. I got these secondhand but I think they are a newer pair, as there is no red tag. Will have to go look at the explainers in this thread and the care tag.

 

 

Denime 66OW, intermittent wear over about 8 months, documenting before a first wash. The last two are with some older 66s, machine washed and dried many times.

Leftfield 18 oz slub Chelsea, about 6 years old, hand-washed about twice a year.

This is another pair of 66s that I've worn for about three years and washed and tumble dried warm/hot regularly to see what would happen. And they're one size bigger, so they definitely wore a little differently. But I use them hard and I think the somewhat frequent washing has been good for durability, I've needed to do zero repairs so far. The inside pocket tag is gone, but I believe that these are Shins-era, like the ones posted above. Maybe someone can tell from the rivets?

Cheers all! They have gotten pretty fragile at this point and some of the repairs are not pretty up close. But the way these wear is pretty incredible.

I have a more recent pair of 66XX (have to revisit @beautiful_FrEaK's posts to recall which generation they are, but I got them 3 years ago form Frisbee) that I have been machine washing and drying regularly to see what will happen. If I get a chance to take pics I'll do some side-by-side.

Hey lefties! I haven't actually posted on sufu in ages, but I wanted to say thanks for all the fits and info shared in this thread. I just got what seem to be one of the last pairs of 18 oz Collect Mills Chelsea--really happy with them, now just waiting on the hem.

 

I've also got a lightly used pair of green weft Chelseas sz 30 for sale in supermarket. They're awesome, but for how much the fabric seems to stretch I would need to go down another size or two.

I bought these from a user on Grailed a month or so, wore them once, and they're lovely but not for me. Just trying to get back what I paid for them. Excellent condition Left Field Chelsea in White Oak selvedge with green heather weft. P/o bought them lightly used and also just wore them to try on. Only the slightest fading on back pocket rivets/seams. Slight creasing in the usual spots that will re-set as soon as you wear them a couple hours. If I had to guess I would say that these have been soaked once--the fabric is softened up a bit but still very dark.

These were previously listed as tag size 30, but there is no size tag in them. Given the measurements they appear to be a 30.

Hey sufuturians! Haven't been on here in a bit but am in dire need of new denim. Can folks recommend a cut similar to Roy RN1, Skull 5010 or RGT Stanton? Mid-rise, tapered, and with at least a little room in the thighs--3sixteen SLs and IH devil's cut sadly too narrow. I know of plenty, I just want to know what folks like.

I took a chance and bought a pair of lightly used type XX that ended up being too big (sz. 30). they're in supermarket now for pretty cheap.
