  1. during my stay in Tokyo, i went to this place called 大黒屋 (daikokuya) in Asakusa. The tempura there is moderately priced and fairly good. Its really near Senso-Ji temple - its fairly well known so shops nearby should be able to give more specific directions.

anyone got any tempura joint recommendations? its my last day in tokyo on sunday and i want to take one of my good girlfriends (not that kind) to lunch and she loves tempura. midrange price, nothing cheapskate but not total 'balla status' either.

  4. its true, retail assistants generally determine if you're a serious buyer from the way you dress - whether their stocks fit into a person's aesthetics (or lack of) and whether their pricepoint matches your budget.

it could be a consequence of our window-shopping habits, just desensitizes them to potential customers i guess.

Since we both came from the same country..

brace yourself, lotsa people here loves to "style-checked" or "brand-checked" you, especially shop assistant from high-end label store :D

  5. do you mean doctor john from lucky plaza? i wouldn't go to him - theres an interminably long wait list (months to get a job done) and the workmanship ,i hear, can get shoddy. anyway, since its a stitching problem (the pockets didn't rip apart i hope) , it shouldn't be too difficult to resolve, you can try Tet Tailors at Peninsula Shopping centre lvl 2.

speaking of skulls, my 5010xx 6x6 back pocket stitching is ripping from wallet buldge. i remember reading about some denim doctor here in SG (in FEP?) way early back in this thread, but does anyone have the contact? What's your experience with them. Thanks.
  6. if the tracking number isn't trackable by deutchpost (the tracking number is invalid) then you , being the seller, are in a position to determine why by calling them up - the tracking number must at least show up on deutchpost's records.

generally packages from germany have never taken more than 2 weeks to reach me.

    i have NEVER ignoring your PM´s !

and the tracking number have i send !

  7. i just returned from Tokyo and man these japanese guys are ballas. Fashion know-how + an average temperature of 16 degrees celcius = tasteful layering. alot of the clothes they wear in shibuya & aoyama are pretty next-level : LUC, n(n), damir doma, Y's, etc etc.

its so hot i could get 2 color tones and all the perfume gets washed away with all that sweat
  8. i noticed how the womenswear section dwarfs the menswear corner as well as the appalling absence of outerwear. i wonder if the ion orchard store will stock designers invitation project pieces. *cries over tim hamilton X uniqlo*

  9. yeah i was there yesterday - the queue extended all the way to the toilet entrance at lunchtime. I like the basics they sold - superior quality for its pricepoint. i didn't see any MIJ raws though - all i saw were the pre-distressed, pre-washed MIJs. suppose they only put it up today. i was gonna get a pair of T-000s, but after an hour long queue to the fitting room and realizing the pair on hand wasn't suitable after a try-on, i left exasperated.
