  2. the sodium sulfate is designed to absorb water which could cause corrosion/discoloration on some parts. none of the parts in the watch are designed to remove oxygen from the watch. using materials that would break/damage if they came in contact with oxygen would be pretty foolish since you would effectively destroy your watch by just opening it

the water free sodium sulfate is a white powder that absorbs water from the atmosphere (hygroscopy) kinda like salt, rice, sugar. when the sodium sulfate starts absorbing the water it turns blue and you can see that it is doing it's job so to speak. the blue comes from the Kopper ions that when dissolved in water have a rich blue color

the argon doesn't really have any kind of special purpose in the watch, they could have used nitrogen to the same effect. but using a gas with a fancy name makes it easier to ask more money for repairs

botch chemicals are really cheap on an industrial scale. 1kg of the sulfate goes for about 90€ and i can't imagine that your watch has room for more than 1g. the argon comes in high pressure bottles at 11 bar and 11 L for about 46€

in the end you're just paying for some dude work hours

No no, I know the purpose of those specs, I just wasn't aware the 75X series filled the watch with any sort of gas. It is not written on the specs nor is it indicated on the dial.

  3. Hey guys. I am selling these for a buddy who has an account on styleforum but not on sufu. I have a lot of feedback on styleforum and have sold plenty here as well.

    $230

These were purchased from Blue in Green about three weeks ago. This is the raw denim version that have been hot soaked for an hour. These jeans are very slubby and still kinda stiff. After drying, I wore them for about eight hours before determining I was unhappy with the fit after they shrunk. These are in 9.75/10 condition. There is very minimal wallet fading happening, and very slight creases behind the knees. Again, they were only worn for one day and still have their entire life ahead of them. Here's a great chance for someone to kop an amazing, already soaked pair of PBJs. Once sold, I will be buying another pair that fit me better. Measurements were taken using the BiG method on their website (http://blueingreensoho.com/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=30&Itemid=41). I'd be happy to answer any questions and provide more pics/details if asked.

    Post-Soak Measurements:

    Waist: 16"

    Front Rise: 9.75"

    Back Rise: 13.5"

    Thigh: 11"

    Knee: 7.75"

    Leg Opening: 7.5"

    Inseam: 34.5"

  4. Yep. Ridiculous shipping charge but they insisted on DHL fully insured. I guess German shipping costs a helluva lot more than elsewhere.

Sinn uses some special gas in their cases that works in conjunction with the dehumidifying capsule to keep the innards working smoothly.

    Man that is insane.

Was not aware that the 756 uses that gas. I thought all models that had that feature had the Ar symbol somewhere on the dial.

  5. $350 is better than 400Euro, but... wouldn't the Sinn x56 series on the 7750's be able to be serviced by a lot of shops? I kind of bought mine with that glimmer of hope.

Ye you def can. my watch is a little different due to the humidity capsule and the sinn's special oil. As long as I keep my watch take care of, I don't see why i would need to replace the humidity capsule and i could care less about Sinn's oil, so i will service mine locally.

  6. Thanks Dis. I was considering the 356 for a while, but I wanted a design that was unique to Sinn so the 756 won out. If you like Sinn, you should checkout helmut Sinn's other brand, Guinand. apparently, the company is very easy to deal with and are open to customizing for little to no charge.

Pictures dont do these watches justice. I really need to tweak it on photoshop or something to show what my eyes see. The dial also has a very nice 3D effect with the hands and the raised lume.

  7. really nice pickup.

    the sinn bracelet is amazing.

Thanks! The watch is really great. Has been spot on for the last week. The chrono doesn't have the stutter that you find on some 7750s. Also, I didn't know this, but when the rotor spins, you can actually feel the watch wobble. It's a very distinct feeling. Apparently, the rotor is kind of heavy so it spins like crazy iside the watch.

Agreed. I think that sinn (and guinand) make very nice bracelets.

  8. Hey guys. I bought this jacket for myself in the fall when it first came out. Since then, I've been working out and I've put on enough muscle that I can no longer fit into it (shoulders are too tight). I have the matching pants. but they still fit so I do not really want to sell those, but if someone is really interested I will think about it. The jacket has literally been hanging in my closet for the past couple of months. I took it out today because I have an interview for an internship on thursday, tried it on, and it didn't fit. =(

I am asking for 170 shipped ( I paid almost 200) within the continental US with tracking. At this price, I'll eat paypal fees or I can knock off 5 bucks if you gift it (I have lots of positive feedback on this forum just search my name).

international buyers PM me and I'm sure we can hammer something out.

Also, if someone has this jacket in a japanese medium and is looking for a japanese small, I would def be up for a trade!! I might be posting some older season +J suits as well once i find out if they fit me or not. they're at my grandparents' house right now.

  9. Ye its great. I went through a number of straps before i settle don this camo nato. works really well imo. really great value for a great piece.

You can pick up a camo nato at westcoasttime. Beware, communication is spoty at best.

  10. Currently at 6 (well, 9, but really only 6):

    1970 Breitling Datora chrono

    Breitling Colt Superquartz

    IWC 3713 Doppelchrono

    Damasko DA35

    Schafer chrono

    Steinhart Ocean DLC

then a pair of Maharishi watches that I bought because I'm an idiot

And my old SS Tag F1 (1992) that I need to get refurbed.

Not planning on buying another watch this year, but I am going to get the Steinhart modded with sword hands, and I need to get the Datora relumed.

Where are u getting the hands and where are u doing the mod. Ive been thinking of doing some mods to my DLC. Today, I saw a steinhart vintage red in the flesh. Gorgeous watch. A great value.
