1. lanvin bow tie. iconic ebaz, this is the oversized one the man himself wears. even has 'A' monogrammed on back after al...if your name starts with A youre going hear panties drop through floors--if not, well, youre still an A (+) in my book, because only a true sartolialist knows to wear not black but blue.

all pure silk, colour navy blue. made in france, bought at the store there, box and all tags intact. worn never.

beautiful item, taken out of plastic for picture only. again, pretty iconic piece, the massive amounts of writing in one of the pictures is of the inside of the bag. thats right, the inside, sir.

3. april 77 joey high standard fight. rare model, looks blacker than black but has an ever subtle blue wash in there to keep things party. not your blue jeans. with a blue tone top, it will pick up the blue of the pants, but otherwise, looks pretty black. size 28, bought at the paris flagship...this, too, is brand new, never worn ever. guitar pick is there, all tags (notice the newer logos) are there, washers individually engraved.

size s, but, knowing oversize boris, this fits many. brilliant seamless construction (zoom in pictures) means big shoulders can wear this. tags intact, meant to be worn outside...real silver hardware, the tees (there are two in there, can be worn layered, or can be separate pieces) are 100% 'superfine cotton' that feels like a cashmere knit blend. ribbed sleeves. bought at atelier new york, around august. the boys there had it on, and it looks better on the male form, i must say...no stains, whatsoever, no pulls or rips. near new.

6. dries van noten messenger bag

believe this to be either goatskin or water-tanned lambskin. fairly sure its the former, because its more dense, and wont scratch easily, despite how soft it feels. also smells different. but, yeah, like butter, supple to the touch. slightly larger than an A4 piece of paper. colour has a bit of an ann 'prune' hue to it, but mostly very special dark hersheys brown. ive never seen this anywhere.

10. roland mouret cashmere scarf

skinny , long, 100% cashmere from across the pond. gasp soft, made with the belly furs from the animals in kasmir. really. notice the subtle sheen. that is quality. but i loved it too much, and now has numerous pulls. if you like the oliver twist look, get this.

ann was bought at the antwerp headquarters, middle of nowehere populieraan. soft soft soft brushed cotton. never worn, not even tried on. no faults, no stains. made in france. ivory. 42 womens. to give you an idea of the size of this, see CON tank to the right which is an xs, i believe, in mens. hard-to-find design with the see-through cube in red--this is done in dark red velvet. cool. BUT, CON hem has partly come undone at the bottom (see picture). easily fixed, though why would you fix this...

13. rick owens patterned mohair cardigan

italian 42 womens, but fits men comfortably. i want to sleep wearing this, its awesomely soft, warm, and the colour is deep black with amazing brown wisps of mohair, the whole thing drapes and moves like a dream. angora and super kid mohair, no wonder. authentic vulpinari tags made in italy. all tags still there, including the long stick one informing the reader it is from the moog aw 2005 collection. i would not part with this (esp at this ridiculous price) if it werent for the angora flying into my contacts. warning: if you wear contacts, avoid. if you dont wear contacts, i hate you.

older quirky collection, with the orange detail button. size 36, fairly sure this is mens, what with the buttons on the right, and 40 cm shoulder measurement. its slightly cropped, with many many ties and details. 75 % cotton, 25% viscose, lining is all silk. made in italy, drapes nicely due to the viscose, feels great.

that's akin to saying someone recalling maple syrup on easter is stupid. perhaps thats personal history, personal tradition? i wasn't 'pulling the girl card.' rather, i was trying to explain --badly-- how as a girl, ive made a habit of wearing these things *with* those scents, and so ive now come to think of them hand-in-hand. now that im looking over it again, i see one sentence was omitted, lost in cyberspace. but. they weren't attempts to encapsulate the scents into tangible things that somehow correlate to the different notes in the first place. maple syrup and easter, because mum would make me pancakes on easter. it would make little sense to anyone else.

and, i don't know where or how you tested these perfumes, but with the natural oils present on my skin, notte, velvet rope, and fico bloom quite nicely. and *that* is not a girl card. just chemistry.

You could be an elephant for all I care...still a stupid statement. Notte is a half-assed attempt at ginger; Velvet Rope is on par with a shampoo fragrance, and I'm not sure how you associate figs with pearls.

I agree that CBIHP is a great line...you'll see its often discussed here. You'll also see that most of us don't care if a scent is marketed towards men or women, and quite often the best fragrances aren't directed at either.

...and pulling the "girl" card will probably work for most of the guys on this site, so you can probably use it to your advantage...but not with me.

for boys, try cb i hate perfume in wburg...they have so much there you are bound to find something for you. theres even a 'roast beef.' im partial to 'winter' and 'in the library' myself. take a bird or two with you, so you can get their opinion. perfumes tend to react differently to different body chemistry. wearing perfume also requires a...shall we say, 'fit'? monocle is a classic if you like cdg. there was also this one from armani, the new one, i forget the name, though ive never been a fan of ol' georgio. girls insist on burying their noses in you.

a substantial number of my friends feel they *have* to have a substance, and continue to do so-- in alarming amounts & frequency, might i add. with extended periods of time, it becomes a conditioned response, i think; it was almost a pavlov's dog ex once when people did rails of my toradol 10s without my explicitly revealing what it really was (hum), they exhibited symptoms of being on coke or oxys. really. xanbars and addys do nothing for me. i just have some with me, because usually they are in demand.

a digression: theres a possible tendency, ive observed, for males to go for the downers, while the females, the uppers. anyone else support this, or do i simply run with pansy boys and barking girls?
