Had this a few weeks ago.
Color was ridiculous.

Not your Fathers Rootbeer, anyone? Also any midwest people, if you get the chance to try any Three Floyds or Sun King, do it.
If you're in the mood for a soda, NYFRB is pretty good. Tastes just like an A&W. In most cases though, if I want a beer I'll be going for something else. I still have two bottles of NYFRB in my fridge from like a month and a half ago.

Very nice. Got my share too.
Met this cool dude in line that let me use his girlfriend as a mule so I could get some for my friends as well. Really a great beer!

I'm gonna try and get there around 4:00. Traffic from Torrance is gonna suck but whatever. For the beer.

Anyone going to Bottle Logic's location on the 30th to get their new bourbon barrel aged stout?

So I got a sixer of Not Your Father's Root Beer. Shit looks, smells, and tastes like an A&W root beer. Don't know how it's actually considered a beer.

Called them on the 5th and it was gone. Found out too late!

Would love to get some more Black Tuesday if they still have some left.

For anyone in OC, Bruery has their anniversary month going on, worth checking out even if you aren't a reserve member. 2014 Black Tuesday is on sale to the public right now.
Damn. Only selling things at their storefront I imagine?

visted Portela today, WOW, so good. The barista who took my order waskind, I'm not really familar with a lot of the drinks, I usually get a Latte at intelligentsia, sometimes tea. He ended up hooking up 2 drinks, a latte & a gaspar. the gaspar was incredible, really bold espresso flavor. latte was on point. i also like the decor, exposed insulation/warehouse aesethic.
I'll try blacktop next. any reccomendation? I like the latte, mostly because of the foam.
Glad you liked Portola. Their coffee is really freaking good compared to a lot of other joints. Try their Kyoto iced coffee is you're in the mood for it sometime. Really good stuff. I used to exclusively drink their lattes because they were so delicious but I've weened myself off of the cream and usually get their V60 nowadays.
If you're ever around Chinatown, you should try Chimney. Their coffee is pretty good too.

Lately I've been digging El Segundo Brewery's IPAs. I can get their beers extremely fresh, and am pleased to see that they date their bottles, which is great. I got their Hammerland IPA the day after it was bottled from a local liquor store.
If anyone has extra Lagunitas High Westified Imperial Coffee Stout that they can get, or that they are willing to part ways with, please let me know!

I haven't seen any Parabola yet but was told yesterday by the state rep that it's not coming to TX until May.
Your guys' distribution is pretty late on that if that's true. It came and went swiftly here in Southern California.

Too many good beers hit shelves this week. Firestone Walker Parabola, Stone Fyodor's Classic as well as regular IRS and the Chai Spiced version, and Lagunitas High Westified Imperial Coffee Stout. My fridge is full of great stouts. Lord have mercy on my wallet.

Cracked this open on Friday in celebration of selling my set of wheels.
It was pretty good.

Any detailed or on feet photos of your pair? What did they run you after everything was said and done? Those are in pig suede (not canvas), and the sole is off-white without a foxing stripe. They were worth the proxy money for sure, but I could see myself going the custom route next time.

Haven't had Thai tea in a while. Gonna have to get some today.

I contacted Vans about those and they told me that they're exclusive to the Asian market. Don't know if they'll ever come stateside without a proxy.
