  1. Yeh, a year seems a bit too long but I imagine the priority is their own stuff. I reckon I'll take a punt on this chap over the water. I did contemplate getting hold of some mouton and attempting the collar myself but I have enough trouble stitching my daughters awards patches on her Rainbows top. I'll leave it to the pro's.

I'm half tempted to wear it as it is for while.

  2. Yeh, kind of. I have a fella overseas who wants to take a look at the contract with an idea to produce a repro who'll do it for next to nothing but has mentioned it'll take a long time.

You know anyone in the Uk who'll replace the lining and mouton? Possibly the cuff knits too. I'd prefer a slightly speedier job as it's a great fit and would love to get some wear in before summer.

  3. Haven't been wearing my G-1 much. Why? 'Cos the nipper's main jacket is a flight jacket and we don't want a Mini Me effect going on. But the good news is we just found him a vintage Varsity jacket, so this is coming out again.

Love this jacket, I just picked up something similar, a Werber 7823 from 1951-54, my first G-1 after a multitude of GW repro A-2's.The mouton needs replacing along with the knits but the goat has some real nice character with plenty of scuffs. I'll post some pics up once it's done.

  4. Up for grabs are the following:

Warehouse Big 660 measuring 35w x 38l soaked once, worn once £135 plus shipping and PP fees.

  5. I just picked up some 660's in a 34, I wear 34 in everything except LVC 47's, and these babies were way tight pre-soak. After a brief cold soak it was a struggle getting them on. Having persevered they have since stretched out a bit but with obvious strain at the button fly.

The BIG measurements were a little misleading or at least different to mine, I measured the 34" waist at 34.5" when raw, nowhere near the 36.5" quoted on the site. They've stretched out to 35"

Damn nice jeans, beautiful denim and a great cut, I just can't ever see these hitting the washing machine so they're gonna have to go.

  6. Suit Up is excellent, so many shots of original jackets and a fantastic reference book. As it's in Japanese it means, at least for me, it's picture led, but it is still pretty clear. As it's chronological it goes through the lot with a big healthy section on A-2's and the photography is jolly good.

    And it's cheap!

  7. *SOLD*

Up for sale is a pair of Warehouse Hellers Cafe 2012xx collab. Tagged at 34 x 36 after an initial soak they measure at 35w x 34l.

These have had a couple of minutes wear, that's all it took for me to decide they are too slim for me.

The details are real nice and the denim is amazing, nice and dark.

I'm asking £165 plus shipping from the UK.

  8. The WH/Hellers 2012xx arrived and too skinny for my taste so after one soak up for sale at £175 measuring in at 35w x 35l. Real nice denim and the details are stunning just too slim Jim.

    Gonna persevere with the 1001xx.

  9. Up for grabs are pair of once soaked and worn for 5 minutes Warehouse 1001xx.

They arrived last week and were bought via proxy from Japan and feature arcs and red pocket tab.

They are tagged 34 x 34 and actually measure 35 waist and 34 inside leg.

As they are a tad too short for me I'm selling them for £150 plus shipping and Paypal fees, which is a bargain for anyone in the UK.

Also up for sale is an original USN A-2 Deck Jacket by So-Sew Styles.

It is 22.5"/23" across the chest and approx 18.5 in the shoulders. It is stencilled on the back and is in tip top condition except for a small mark on the cuff which will come off with cleaning.

I'm based in the UK but will ship anywhere.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

    Cheers,

    Steve

  10. I've a pair of 1001xx's soaked once worn for 5 minutes with arcs (upsidedown arc removed) tag size 34/34 measures the same up for grabs if anyone is interested.

Fit wise they are slap bang between an LVC 47 and a 44 but nicer fitting in the seat.

I'll bung them in the supermarket once I've taken some pics. Great denim just too short for a giraffe legged freak like myself.

  11. Basically based on a slim 50's cut if I remember correctly...They also referenced Steve McQueen's fit on their blog, I'll see if I can dig it up. Denim looks very interesting when worn: http://www.ware-hous...g_item&ic=42158

I hope to check them out in person at Inspiration LA if they have them at the Heller's Booth.

It'd be nice some get some info on these. I'm halfway between these and some 800's just now. Both look so sweet for the life of me I can't make up my mind!

  12. Anyone any idea how much the x's-32 will shrink and stretch? The 34's are measured raw at 36. Only experience I have with sd's was a pair of 001's tagged at 34 that were ginormous, couldn't get 'em below 35".

    Any help greatly appreciated!

  13. Cheers looks like I'll size on up and go for the 36.

gregoryh, your fit looks good but as an older gentleman of a, ahem, fuller figure, I reckon I'll be suffering from the fat leg syndrome too.

How does the one wash fade, do they show wear easy like raw the 660's?

  14. Hi Folks,

I've done a fair amount searching this thread and other forums and can't seem to find the answer I'm after so hoping you can help a Warehouse noob.

Do the 800's stretch out much with wear and will they shrink much more when washed? I pretty much need a 35", so my choice is either 34" which going by Big measurements is a tad slim or the 36".

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers!
