  1. I have a long sleeve button down I got about 3 years ago for xmas. Snap buttons, hidden chest pocket, and the back of the garment is a light merino material that's kind of see though.  Anyone know what model it is? Want to sell, but want to mare sure I'm listing it correctly. Thanks in advance

  2. Here some fits from 2012.  It pretty much looks like your fit pic from the previous page @longshanks. I'm not one to tuck it in, as the fabric started very stiff and even though it's softened a lot over the years it's still pretty thick. The length has never bothered me or even crossed my mind. I don't wear it to work much, I could, but it's my go to when getting out of town. It's seen a fair share of rowing, hiking and camping. The small patch on the back is due to an ember that jumped from a campfire I had my back turned to. I wear it on it's own but also love it as a jacket over crew neck sweatshirt.

  3. I bought them fall 2017 and didn't really wear them that much because they shed a lot onto my shoes. I also didn't love the cut so I got them tapered by a very good denim shop in my neighborhood. Up until Sept. 2018 I probably wore them for a total of 30-50 days, but since then I wear them every day. I've already had to get the front crotch repaired / reinforced, and I see the back crotch blowing out soon. I'll post pictures this weekend!

  4. Bought a pair of the yenim 666-s about a year ago and am a little disappointed.  It's my first pair of Iron Heart and I was expecting them to shed indigo a lot faster than they have been. I also notice the crotch is a bit tight, so It's definitely going to blow out before these age a ton. Maybe it's due to the materials used for this iteration, but seeing if anyone has had a similar experience this this specific jean or cut in general.

  5. Thank you guys for your responses.

It's pretty bad: along the whole length of the shoulders, at both arm creases and both wrists.

Rainy pass flat out said no. I'll keep trying ACR.

In doing research on this I found another forum with a guy who said he spoke to someone who worked for Gore-tex. The guy said he would deny it if ever confronted, but says there are certain people who's oils and sweat just don't mix well with Gore-Tex, and pieces are much quicker to delam. Thinking back, I've had Gore-Tex jackets for the past 20+ years and they all delam. Guessing it's time to move onto a new fabric.

  6. Delamintaion Update

Nothing back from ACR proper. The boss tweeted back and said the fix would be a tedious job of cutting out the delamination and applying seem tape. I'm thinking about grabbing some Gear Aid Gore-tex patches, cutting out the delamination and applying them to the inside of the jacket, and then seam taping off the edges of the patches. I know these patches are meant to go on the outside of a shell, but it seems easier to apply 4x6" patches instead of small strips of seem tape.

    Thoughts?

It's one jacket that I will never sell. EXTREMELY lightweight. Perfect windbreaker. I've never gotten the hang of packing it properly so I don't bother anymore but it is packable. It's easy to wash and maintains its tech properties after many washes. It fits a bit small. I'm typically somewhere between a small and medium in Acronym and I own a medium and the thing feels perfectly fitted.

Jacketsling loops are inside only so you can't wear the sling externally. And the jacket is so fitted that you can feel the sling inside the jacket. I wear it without the sling most of the time because of this.

Agreed this is one of my favorite jackets. How do you wash yours?

  8. For the delamination of my J47a anyone have and fixes? Thinking about waxing it  or using a bunch of iron on gore-Tex patches on the inside.

I wrote ACR repairs but I don’t really think they’re going to repair it. Seems like it would be pretty major and probably need to be replaced. I talked to a Gore-Tex  repair place in Seattle WA and they said there was nothing they could do. They said where the delamination happened isn’t waterproof anymore so it’s basically just a windbreaker. Going to hold out doing any drastic DIY repairs until I hear back from ACR, but I’m open to ideas.

    Good luck to everyone tomorrow.
