Commissary should be getting some stuff soon, if anyone needs anything or a proxy I'd be more than happy to help since i'm a local there.

Edit: the stuff went live in store so just please PM me if yall need help :)

Since you did your edit today, I can safely assume that it wasn't you camping the entrance yesterday afternoon praying that they open. Whoever that was, you better be glad he opened the store for you out of remorse lol... congrats on the size M.

For everyone wondering what they have in stock, they still have the black J47TS-GT and both cws of the P23A-S. White J47s and NG9s are gone, NG8s are still in stock and I think the P27-DS. Forgot what else. The J47TS is going to be 2280 + shipping. Yes, for Cali residents, that's around ~2.5k after taxes.

Shoutout to the stores that reduce VAT

Why isn't this a process Acronym has learned (over numerous years) they need to handle for their customers? Why is it up to me as the customer, after paying $2k+ for a jacket, to then have to deal with import duties (including communicating correct import codes before i get hit with additional fees!^!^). This is a MASSIVE flaw in this business model. Can someone please make an additional thread for Import Procedures. I hate having to self-filter out all these posts when trying to read up on acr sufu.

You're confusing "pre-Nike influenced" Acronym with "post-Nike influenced" Acronym; customer service isn't their priority anymore and they couldn't care less about nitpicking the proper HTS classification.

Also some tips since you just joined last year (this goes for all you Acronym greenhorns):

    1) Whenever it's a seasonal global release, it's always cheaper to buy from select vendors and boutiques. Obviously bags are only sold from acrnm.com but I've posted the list in this thread and it's been reposted before. Before you ask... No, there isn't a single vendor who's the best for all Acronym products (Firmament was king on certain pieces but Bureau has been really good too). Acrnm.com falls around 2nd-4th place if there is no customs charges. It used to be the worst for US when the De Minimis was set at $200, luckily it was raised to $800 two years ago. It's up to you to do your due diligence and figure out what works best. If you can't cop because you can't run page monitors, that's on you. Also, a majority of the sites run Shopify so if you're a sneakerhead, you're already at an advantage. *wink wink nudge nudge*

    2) You can't always negotiate with the brokerage office and get 7.1% rate for all of the products. They have common sense so you will need to be aware of which codes you're using. You can keep calling and hopefully get an agent that will let you pass but it's always been luck of the draw in regards to what they won't do.

    3) If you REALLY, really don't want to pay for any customs/tariffs/duties at all, just dropship it to a different country and have it reshipped with values marked down severely. This took a ton of my time and money to experiment with what works best so I can't divulge any more than that. Also, don't dropship to Canada. I was misled when a few of you guys paid no fees whatsoever then UPS came and charged me some fees only to find out it's "HST". Adding HST is not 0% to me... but that's a part of doing trial-and-error so I learned my lesson. After all is said and done, I no longer deal with random bullshit charges and I only pay what I know I'm going to pay.

    Good luck!

Since CETA was implemented September 21st, 2017 :) - My P10-DSs and 3A-5TS that ive bought since then have been $0 customs/tariffs. Just had to pay 13% HST upon arrival.

Oh I forgot, you guys operate differently with HST.

Mostly raffles though right? To me I’m not envisaging a stress-free experience and well expect to come away empty handed after what I expect will be an imminent ACR cancellation mail.

No, tons in EU are FCFS... Nitty, Suppa, Solebox, YME, Soto, Titolo, Overkill, DSM, etc.

Only got 1 from acr which says the order will only be valid if I receive another email, and 1 from PayPal which states I paid to acr. Are my orders safe yet or nah?

    You need both of these.

  7. As long as you kept refreshing and made sure you sent that request to add the product to your cart, you would've been fine.

I could've copped another full set since I wanted to size up but I'll wait for domestic stores to get them... it'll be cheaper anyways.

Lots of sites are dropping these on Thursday, no need to stress.

My friend entered the app 9 minutes after the drop and he missed it.

I suppose it is much easier to cop in Japan?

I already knew the pic beforehand - I was just waiting for Nike to update since I have a monitor on the SNKRS product feed.

Plus Nike US launched the OW "Queen" AM97 in the same exact fashion so I already knew what you had to do. I didn't need to VPN it seems but I'm having it shipped to my friend's place near Ginza. :)

I'm shocked... How can the same shoe be 70 EUR more expensive on the mothersite??

I could still understand the price hikes for the hardshells and pants, albeit with a pinch of salt, but this just feels wrong. I don't really see how this can be explained away.

They use flat rate shipping (€45 for everything - doesn't matter if your $1800 jacket weighs 4 micrograms, it'll cost the same as shipping heavy ass shoes). Excluding VAT they charge €20 above retail. Why? Because it's Acronym, their MO is taxing the fuck out of the customers. Let's not forget the duties that we also have to pay.

Heads up on vapormax dropping again! Guys

    acrn website:)

If you're from t he US, there's absolutely no reason to buy these vapors from acrnm. Unless you're #teamearly and want the dark stucco colorway. Black/Volt/Black releases in less than 24 hours and I'll be sure to buy it for $225 flat instead of $305.

But since we're all overpaying for the jackets, I guess 251.61 € is chump change. For those that want to save some cash and prefer retail price ($225 which equates to 184.30 €), SNS just restocked a FSR: https://www.sneakersnstuff.com/en/product/31867/nike-air-vapormax-fk-moc-x-acronym

What about them? These prestos are a mockup of a rumor saying E's dropping two new presto colorways.

It's three colorways, just like the 2016 drop.

Weren't these just a mock up?

Just the color, expect it to be at NikeLab and all tier 0 swoosh accounts by the end of this year and of course acrnm.com.

If you guys got Mars Yards, this shoe will be a breeze to get.

Sorry, I know this wasn't directed to me, but very surprised you got an invoice from UPS. Where are you located? My understanding from having quite a few issues with them and spending a lot of time with customer service is that they won't deliver anything unless duties have been prepaid on the phone / online or someone gives them a check when they drop off the package. Fedex does invoicing post delivery 100% of the time though.

USA, this has happened quite often for the past decade that I've been shopping with Acronym. Prior to 2015, the de minimis value was only $200 so you had to pay duties for pretty much everything from them.

everytime i have dues from ups i will get the invoice a week - two weeks after the item arrives. personally they have never held a package to collect duties before releasing the item.

Yep, sometimes I know beforehand that they won't release it as it's explicitly said in the tracking screen... other times it's not and they just deliver the package to you and wait for the collection notice.

On a side note, one of my close buddies is moving to HK so if ever Acronym comes out with a powerhouse of a season (I'm talking at least 6+ items to purchase), I'll just have Acronym ship all that shit to him. Not going to bother dealing with UPS just because some dude in the Czech Republic is too lazy to identify the correct recreational performance outerwear HTS classification.

I placed three orders on drop day for three separate items (P25H, SM1, J28).

I’ve gotten tracking numbers for two of the three items. I’m assuming it’s the two items I won’t need to pay duties for since they are both out of customs without issue and are on a truck to be delivered today (woo hoo!).

Past four drops it’s been like this for me. Items that require duties required more paperwork on the exporter’s end and they are slow with it. Sometimes takes up to 5 business days. Be patient.

Did you ever get invoiced by UPS for the j28/p25h? Last time I bought from Acronym and this happened, UPS sent me a letter to collect unpaid duties.

lol i know... i need it for suits and stuff anyways. but i wasn't talking about spray dwr i was talking about:

this is a wash + reproof, and i think the reproof is what should not be done to DS if i understand correctly.

Correct, DS and CH have are coated with proprietary technology (ecorepel, coldblack, 3XDRY, and NanoSphere) already so you do not want to re-proof with off-shelf DWR products.

As far as Stotz goes, @FlavourTwist emailed ETA directly regarding his S-J11 and the owner has 3 options:

    • use nik wax cotton proof wash-in

    • use nik wax spray on repellent (the version for cotton fabrics I suppose)

    • professional dry cleaning plus proofing/coating method'

    Quote

ToKo and Granger's (which arcteryx recommends for its products) will do the trick also, but since Eta Stotz is a cotton based ventile product there is no DWR treatment, this has been mentioned often before, so tech wash ins/ spray ons (for the gore tex likes) aren't recommended.

He ended up washing the jacket by hand with fairly hot water and without chemicals, hung and when almost dry, sprayed on the mentioned cotton proofing and spot-cleaned with natural soap.

Gore-Tex is fairly straightforward and simple.
