Got a chance to see Noam Chomsky speak in receipt of the Sydney Peace Prize. One of my most admired thinkers. What a great man. The depth of his knowledge of history is truly astounding.

I was so inspired I went home and re-read this, the first Chomsy I ever read. EVERYONE should read this book. It's too short to forego.

Has anyone read any of the serialization in Paris Review? I can't remember the last time I was this excited for a novel. I think this could be right up there with The Savage Detectives and 2666, and it's a much shorter read for those who are time poor.

Jumping on the pocket wear hate. I love the indigo dye but they should have used a thicker fabric for the pockets. I had some 811s from about 5 years back and Eternal definitely used to use thicker material for the pockets.
