  1. whatever dude, you have no idea what you are talking about- i wanted the hakama shorts anyways, none of the wapanese gear. not sure how that makes me a basic fuccboi

  2. i feel like chinese guys get the short end of the stick....

I dont think thats universally true, if you're good looking you're good looking and can pull girls no matter what. i did notice at dinner the other night in shanghai the staggering amount of western men with local girls- would probably be pretty infuriating to be on the other side of the fence but hey that's life...

  3. I got asked by coworkers to go out for a group dinner and drinks. I've done enough of these and made plans to have a dinner date so I passed. Went to the restaurant to meet my dinner date to find my whole team at the same restaurant (and pretty drunk) right at the front table. Had to walk past all of them to get to my table, and they were in plain sight of my date the whole time. lol...

  4. missed the gonz butterfly bdu because im in fucking china. if anybody bought the camo in size m or l and wants to pass it on to a member at around cost that would be greatly appreciated!

  5. thanks alot, fycus!  the edit just  just screwed up the context for everyone and has thus devalued many other members' posts!

I do feel like we're beating up on howl, if people really want to see it they can find it.

Keeping on topic, as far as dating goes on these apps you can meet all kinds of people- surprisingly ive had some good luck on more of the budget-tier apps like ok cupid rather than bumble or tinder. Time to broaden my horizons and meet girls through friends I guess?

On that note, I'm constantly hearing people say "Id never actually date a person I met on an app, etc etc" to which I feel is a little odd. It's more respectable than a bar in certain contexts, you already vet out that you are attracted to eachother, and you can have some small chat up front to see if it clicks. That being said I've never seriously dated anybody through these avenues, so maybe I'm jaded...

  6. tbh im not much for internet bullying, im sure howls a nice guy. and who hasn't scoped a chick's facebook profile or something after you  got a name or whatever. i do think the thinking aloud and then relaying it to a complete stranger is a recipe for disaster.

  7. US prices are ballpark, jp prices pretax, either confirmed or based off existing releases

tweed or wool stripe dotera (non silk, believe it's thinsulate): 120,000jpy pre-tax or 2500 usd

tweed or wool stripe dotera (silk filled insulation): 290,000 or 4000-5000 usd

sanjuro jacket in wool/linen/mohair or tweed: 89,000 jpy or 1550 usd

    hudson: 188,000jpy or 3,000 usd

commodore: 188,000 jpy or 3,000 usd

iris liner: 89,000jpy or 1550 usd

washed denim: 45,000jpy or 800 usd

zermatt: i think it is 89,000jpy or 1200 usd

  8. Pre-ordered the peasant version of the wool stripe dotera coat (pictured above with the turned up hat). As for footwear, imo there are some really good items: duck boot, zermatt but also some huge misses like those horrendous skytop fbt's. I like all the suiting fabrics and the tweed, it's an interesting take on fabrics that are typically used with other applications. I do think vis takes comfort for granted though, most are pretty terrible as a daily wear piece. My wool mies is like wearing a door mat, probably one of the most uncomfortable fabrics ever, and it sounds like the wool tweed is similar this fall. Haven't felt the oversized down in person but everybody who saw the collection in person panned it for feeling cheap. Pretty cool that they are naturally dying nylon now, and will definitely give some depth to the material. Hudson jacket is back in a nylon + wool shearling which looks great, if not a bit kitsch. Leathers are good as per usual, just impossible to justify spending 5.5-6.5k on a leather jacket. I actually prefer last fall's collection, but I do think there are more experimental items this season which will be interesting to see worn.

  9. Not at all, the Chinese footwear is actually great quality overall. A couple misses in some pairs of footwear where a less cosmetic hide should be used in non visible areas on boots, but that happens even with the most discerning QC at other factories.

  10. all footwear made in China, some sneakers made in Korea (or were?). FBT's are made in Japan now, some models still may be made in China.

  11. I think inspiration is relative, hedi was influenced by southern california rock / festival culture, hiroki was inspired by a fucking umbrella, kimmel by area 51, raf by brian calvin, dvn by marilyn monroe etc. Just because the inspiration is more direct rather than obscure does not mean it is going downhill. To each his own though and I understand where you are coming from, its nauseating sifting through instagram nowadays.

  12. fwiw, the collection is all based on ussr's existing physical fitness program, i think the typeface, color, and overall simple aesthetic is appropriate for what gosha was trying to convey given the theme of the collection. for the crybabies the fancy fonts come back this fall, including stuff from the "sunrise" collection.

  13.  there was a moment during lunch where we weren't saying anything but she reached her leg under the table to brush it against mine and smiled but yeah i think we'll see each other again.

wearing wife beaters and wide leg trousers might get rep on the internet but for the sake of being real with you if you want a second date and weren't already friendzoned from the cringe im reading above id go for a more conservative approach.
