What? If you've got the dough to spend, there's absolutely nothing wrong with filet burgers. As long as you don't overwork the meat or overcook them, they'll turn out a lot more tender than other cuts that you'd normally use (chuck, sirloin, etc.).

I agree with stewing though. If you're gonna end up cooking it for long periods, just use a arm/shoulder/bone-in type cuts since it'll add more body and flavor.

There's some I've seen out there, but you really have to look around. Black finishes on hardware are quite rare because it's more decorative than practical (the black finishes tend don't last) and more costly to produce. You'll have more luck with lobster/snap clasps, but only in smaller sizes since they're primarily used in jewelery making.

In my experience, yes, especially since it's not their 50/50 blend. The fit and feel gets a bit wonky after a few washes too, I usually like them best fresh from the store.

I'll still buy a couple for the sake of being in the contest and test my luck with cold washes/hang dries.

And yeah, I've read about sandpaper, so I bought some of the fines grit I could. So basically I just run something firm, but smooth across the edge once the gum is dry? I don't think I have anything canvas, but I'll try using some old denim scraps to polish.

Didn't know where to ask, but I've been playing with a bit of leather and was wondering how one burnishes edges? I've already smoothed and rounded the edges by hand with the finest sanding drill bit I could find, before finishing it by hand.

I've got some tragacanth because I've read that it's one of the cheaper, more accessible things to use when finishing/burnishing, but am a bit unclear about where to go from here..

One thing that bugs me so far in every LA Noir preview I've seen is that the main character tries a bit TOO hard to mouth out every word he says. The face tracking thing is cool, but the way he does it does makes it seem too overacted/unnatural

Oh, and Tactics Ogre is essentially FFT's predecessor. Matsuno, the head director of FFT, was one of the lead directors in TO (which is why the elements between the two are so similar). He eventually left that company and was recruited to Square. When Square became big, they bought out the makers of TO and gained the rights to retro the game.
