  1. If the leg opening is a concern you'd probably want the SE05BSP purely because the leg opening is almost an entire inch smaller than the 3001/F310/1001...

Also, the SE05BSP accommodates larger thighs better than the other slim models while still maintaining a slim look.

*Sighs and searches diligently for a pair of SE05BSP* I guess I'll start saving then. But I only have/had $200 to spend.

  2. Well, tapered is just what I'm looking for, especially since I have larger than norm thighs. Slims are fine, I just don't want them to hug *too* much.

I was recommended the se05bsp's from another forum, but it's a bit out of my price range. The 3001's I can get to me, with shipping, for under $200 at 2nd.

Idk, I'm just lamenting because I sized so horribly on a pair of Samurai 0500's due to weight loss and sizing problems. The leg opening isn't too much of a problem, but if I can get it under 8.5, that'd be awesome.

  3. i wouldn't say "fitted" is between slim and straight. i'd say fitted would be pretty slim.

the general consensus, as i've read, is to go one size from your true waist. this will get you a well-rounded slim fit. go true to size for a slimmer fit.

Touche. I see where you're coming from. But yea, a not too slim tapered fit sounds good. I was leaning toward the one size down in the first place. Thanks

  4. I have a few concerns with some 0500xx I just got off the supermarket. They are size 27.

Are they supposed to only have 4 buttons total (3 fly + 1 waist) ?

Jeans feel soft and pansy compared to my 710xx. No stiffness whatsoever.

Pockets also feel extremely shallow, once again compared to my 710.

If anyone could help me out I'd be most grateful.

My jeans have 5 buttons total, waist included. I'm pretty sure they jump to 5 buttons from the jump from a size 33 to a size 34. And yes, after being washed, they're pretty damn soft and fuzzy, if I may add. And I'd agree with the shallow pockets.

  5. didnt buy them yet, waiting until next spring. Still debating on whether I should go to BiG or order from 2nd though

Ahh, alright then. It might be a bit more work, but the 2nd > BiG. It's cheaper and you get goodies. :D

  6. 1. Pad Thai - My ultimate fave: sweet, tart, salty, chewy, tender all in one bite.

    Then, in no particular order:

    Spaghetti Bolognese

    Buffalo Wings

    Any well made Steak

    Indian Curry

    Japanese Curry

Any grilled fish from California Fish & Grill

Pizza - Sausage x Pineapple please

    Juevos Rancheros

And last but not least- Double Double: animal style, extra toast; French Fries: animal style, well done; Large Arnold Palmer.

Edit: Didn't notice the MEGA gravedig; found through search. Dah well, this thread deserves a bump.

  7. does Levi's ever made 501 shrink to fit for women??

    No.

does washing jeans in bleach detergent with enzymes and shit just fade them quicker or does it damage the fabric too?

The longer the material is immersed in bleach, the more damage is done. Color loss can also be determined by time. You might also take into consideration that regular bleach isn't made for colors, it can easily pull out quite a bit of color quite quickly. If you plan to use a detergent, go with a detergent that has color-safe bleach, such as Clorox 2.

  8. thinking if i should get 710xx in a 34. don't want them to be too slim but i would like a slimmer cut as opposed to these bk's. maybe size up on the 710xx?

For the XX's I'd suggest sizing up one if you like a slimmer, but not too slim fit.
