  1. It's a pretty shabby cut. I like it larts.

If only you didn't have that art-school-pussy-wussy-blue-blood look on your face it might be more authentic. Learn to fight or something. Have something horrible happen to you. Fight your way out of a bar brawl and save the girl. Kick the shit out of a cholo or something.

  2. I've heard this Steven Alan / Band of Outsiders comparison a couple of times and so I made a point of comparing the two last time I was in Los Angeles - to begin with, Steven Alan fit me like a paper sack on sideways so I wouldn't have bought it even if the construction had been impeccable. It wasn't. The fabric on this seasons Band of Outsiders are really superior to Steven Alan.

I guess I could agree that they're "overrated" in the sense that they're in GQ / fairly popular / etc... but it really doesn't mean anything considering that they actually are a reasonable balance between function, form and price for people with certain builds / aesthetic.

Servo, we're probably similar size. I'm 5'9 130 lbs. I'm pretty skinny with a tight build. I want skinny arms and slim but not tiiiiight in the chest. Think they'll (BoO) work?

I'd say get those rafs. The finish looks good and they might break nicely as long as you don't baby them. One thing about that kind of cut is that the tight in the ass/straight in the leg billy crystal look never really appealed to me. I like a lot of taper. If my balls are going to be in pain, so will my cankles.

Or you could pay less for black jeans anywhere in the universe, but I can't really talk in that department.

  3. BoO shirts are really nice construction and material wise. The fit is great if you like to wear some shirts untucked. They are my best fitting untucked shirt by far, but it's a bit short for me to tuck in. One negative in the design for me, is the really high side at the bottom compared to the front/back. Not a huge deal, but just sayin'.

Also, be careful when buying BoO shirts this season and know which fit you're getting. There is the standard slim short fit that most people think of, but there is also another that's a bit roomier/longer.

I have 3 (2 ls and one ss) and i love them, but i don't know about paying $225 for them. But then again, i'm a cheap asshole. Although, they're getting increasingly difficult to find around sales time in sizes S-L due to the popularity (GQ and other mags like that mention them all the time)

You're hardly "cheap" for being picky about the fit of a shirt for $225, plus you're being relative about it so you're not actually putting the shirt's cut itself down. I've wanted to try them out for a long time. I wear antifit jeans most of the time, hobokens, so your information is valuable to me in deciding. They might actually not be the shirt for me in that light, and might make me look like i have a long crotch, short legs, and a short torso. WE'LL SEE! Lookout, supermarket!

  4. Man fuck Palin. That cunt has a worse environmental track record than Dr. Blight from Captain Planet. Bitch kills wolves, is fighting to have POLAR BEARS taken off of the endangered species list, and wants to turn Alaska into a giant oil rig. I would fuck her throat until she barfed up my babies, though.

  5. Let them get it out of their system. They'll react against it if they're smart and go through an even more embarrassing phase like androgyny, crust punk, campus hippie with white dreads (the worst), or mall goth.

Wait, nevermind. None of them can compare to the humiliation they'll make you feel if they're wiggers. Wiggers deserve to be processed. Though, if you keep pressuring them to stop, they'll rebel against you and get into it hardcore. Maybe reverse psychology will work. Wear ed hardy around the house, talk like a fucking retard, forget how to read, talk about cars a lot. Then, because kids naturally react against their fathers, they'll be everything you want them to be.

  6. Did that creep actually steal the poor girl's iphone, post a pic of her naked, and try to sell the phone?

And was that why he was banned? If not, why was he banned?

Because if this shit is true... Fuck that guy. Somebody please kick his teeth in.

  7. sort of what im going for but for less temperate climates. I'm looking for a nice trench and leather. I think denim is fine for me right now but i need a pair of skinny raws (skulls maybe).

I am also eventually in need of a winter parka (love longer fishtail type jackets and some kind of wool coat)

I dont think goth ninja really works for me but maybe nu tech ninja would be an appropriate term.

Let us know if you find any good ideas for that parka, I'm in the market for the same thing.

Because of my limited budget, Fall and Winter will have to transcend each other more closely as I won't have enough money to buy pieces that will only be useful for one or the other.

I'm going to continue down the path I've already started with a practical, very functional, somewhat low-profile aesthetic with a dash of nazi-chic. Long coats, probably a fishtail parka or a coat with an extended back reaching down to my upper calves. I was given some good ideas from the Yes/No thread. Conservative, fitted button downs, sometimes in more lively colors to throw things off, tucked into high-wasted jeans, most likely my Black Bullets, tucked into Corcoran paratrooper boots:

PS- linkejeuk, Those quoddy boots you speak of, are they the ring boot?

Yeah, I checked that site and I can't find it anywhere. It's sold out :(

My friends didn't like it for some reason. I really love it. I suppose nobody knows where else to find it?

    I really loved these, too:

Also, what do you guys think about that parka in the original post? I'd figure I would wear it with combat boots and black bullets, rolled up a bit.

  9. ahhhh, Jimi....JMH epitomized all that is RnR. He was the rare combination of explosive showman and master musician.Clapton and Townshend feared their careers were over after hearing Jimi play in London. Nobody ever wanted to follow Hendrix on stage..they knew they couldn't. He bent notes like no other...fuck, he invented notes. He played with such ferocity and pure emotion that it was/is impossible not to feel his music in your soul. I urge anyone who hasn't seen the "Live at Monterey" DVD to view it.....immediately....and while watching it, keep in mind that the performance was done under the influence of mega doses of some of the strongest acid Owsley ever made.

this does not apply to Hendrix. I feel it as strongly today as I did the first time I heard it....many, many.......many years ago....probably before you were born.

Of all the past acts in rock history, deceased or disbanded, I miss JMH the most. I shudder to think of the music he would be making today given modern technology. It makes me sad...very sad.

I think what we're missing here is that Hendrix was a player. He wasn't a virtuoso like a lot of people think that he was, he was a player. What separates the two are emphasis. Hendrix placed emphasis on expressionism, sometimes in the abstract.

    He would have loved Cluster.

Yes or no? Can't quite decide... the fit is great, the looks is great, the color... can't decide.

I think they're pretty swell. I couldn't pull them off because I'm too square, but somebody with a little more swagger than me could make those look boss.

ps- better wear gray with those...
