I want hiking boots. Wanted those danners that i've been seeing around. But, too short for clunky boots. Crepe sole is win for me. I don't know anything about f-troupe though. Someone school me.
edit: and cant get enough take note, even though im on the fence about these, they are infinitely better than those kippour whateverthefucks.
Duly noted. They look really nice. Link?

Got there around 2:30 and picked up a great navy wool sports jacket in a medium size from f/w 2008 that was a sample but no defects for $300 when it retailed for $1200.00

Klippor Leather/rubbor boots for $145.00. Anyone know what the quality and comfort is like on these?

really where? around the levi's collab I only saw CDG, junya, halmos, etc. I obviously was not looking hard enough.
edit: looks like they restocked some things on the bloomies website. No vest in size small though...think bloomingdales is having a sale that started today with code "FANDF" for 20% off.
Yeah, they had the Geller on the wall right next to the Levi's colab with some outerwear, suits etc. I saw their S+H selection and all the stuff looked pretty bad/mediocre.

The Bloomingdales on 59th had a decent amount of Geller other than just the Levis collaboration. Hoping the diamond patterned, charcoal suit and pants stick around for sale season.

Yes!!! Ervell sale is the day I get out of class early. Woot.

I thought the Nom De Guerre marled wool crewnecks I saw at Blackbird were a really nice weight and came in grey, as well as black.

Kopped this Woolrich "Upstate Blazer" from Hollander and Lexer. 75% wool/25% Nylon exterior with 100% nylon lining. Great medium weight and perfect fit. Definitely one of those items that is too perfect and to wait and hope it goes on sale.

last time i was at H&L i was told only the williamsburg location stocked it, and by then it was too late in the day for me to go
Went to the H&L wburg location yesterday and I was told by their salesguy that they don't have of the Levis x Geller selection and that it's only available at Bloomingdales.
Aside from the store not marking down ANY stock (they had a Geller linen jacket from spring '09 still at full retail price) their in house brand and other selections are incredible and hard to find at other retailers. Picked up the most amazing new Woolrich (Italtian) navy, wool jacket that I'm so stoked about using all through the winter. I'll probably go back for some amazing japanase made wool, tapered harringbone trousers.

Just moved to NYC from Seattle and I need a really warm coat (pea coat or a trench coat comes to mind) for the bone chilling winter here. I want something that is simple, classic, fitted and well made, preferably in navy or black. What do you suggest? I found this amazing visvim navy peacoat in medium in the supermarket that looked perfect except for the white zippers.

i havent bought non denim pants in years, but i think i should cop a pair of "dressier" pants for well, something may come up, and i was looking at these, anyone have any idea on the sizing? should i just email blackbird?

and well, yes or no? haha
I tried these on the other day and they fit quite loose. I'm normally a 30/31 in Rag and Bone, Acne etc and the medium was falling off of me. The outer material is really thick and the lining is also very thick so these should be really really warm.

ervell, jil, rick
The shoes looks look like snowboarding boots and together with the jacket its looks like you're ready to hit the slopes.

What material is the Patrick Ervell trench and how is the cut?

Yeah, that youngin dresses really well. Too bad you don't like him cause he's such an effeminate looking poet type.

online shop du

thank god I didn't purchase off their site yesterday when the markdowns were less
I just visited OC today for the first time and was surprised how much damn stuff they had in that basement. Lots of N Hollywood that I had never seen before since Blackbird has only carried a lot of their layering basics. I would have picked up their wool thermal sweater in grey if i was a medium and not small. Only 70 bucks marked down from 300. Didn't realize they had an online store until I saw this post.

I'm looking for a good quality trench, preferably slim-fit, preferably black, and preferably cropped a bit....
anyone have recommendations, aside from serious coinage at burberry, please let me know. i thought maybe i should try topman... but i dunno how quality those might be. thanks.
There is an amazing W+H black trench that is a slim fitting size small way marked down at Blackbird last I checked. It could very well be gone by now. I really wanted to buy it but it's just too slim through the shoulders. I think this price listed on the website doesn't reflect the instore markdown: http://www.blackbirdballard.com/Wings_+_Horns_WI-4025_Trench_Coat_12227.htm

All I want is a simple, well made, low profile buckled belt made of leather or canvas. Tanner looks really nice but the buckle is bigger than I'd like. I'm looking for a basic black or brown color. Suggestions?

Doing errands on my bike around town (including finally visiting a tailor after getting torn to pieces by you guys the other day). Not sure if I should keep the RG shorts that just came in the mail. The fit is a bit unusually tight and long but I think I'm getting used to it.

Bloomingdales GellerxLevis display. Thought I was going to kop the last blue chambray shirt in small but decided that the detailing was too weird for me. I found a Acne wool knit beanie though.
