The raws are raw and the thunderstorms are distressed?
And they should be marked as thunderstorms...or raws... It also depends, I've only tried on a handful of Diors at the Saks 5th store because they were having a blow out, but in my experience the black raws are the only one with a truly unique look to the denim, so it shouldn't bee too hard to tell if it's pre-distressed or not.
Hope that helps!

Okay thanks for the tip Hollywood!
And as an update on my month old Diors. [blacks]
The roping is coming in!
[No camera, I forgot it at home when I moved back in after winter break... ]

I keep trying to sag my Diors but they keep looking horrible when I sag them...
So I'm just going to keep wearing them for a bit and hope the stretch will make the sag look better later, or should I just keep sagging them and hope they look better?

I'm curious, did any SuFu members do anything crazy hardcore for Chinese New Years?
Return to the motherland[wherever that may be]? Go to a temple?
Common Sufu!
Entertain me.

Dooooo it! Dooo IT!
Happy Chinese New Years SUPERFUTUREEEEE!
Alright.
So here are a few things my mom told me as a child, I can't validify them but I think most are generally accepted. Here: No white on Chinese New Years, wear red or yellow, be joyful, eat noodles, eat dumplings, eat nian gao(sticky cakes), clean the house, ke tuo(kneel and grovel), greet everyone and wish them well[Gong shi gong shi xing nian hao SUFU!], eat red beans, eat fish, always have leftovers, wear new clothes, take a shower
I'm sure there was more but I can't recall them now.
Truth:
Also real Chinese New Year is 15 days long, but it's not celebrated that long usually in the US.
The first 9 days are said to be the most vital.
The first day people welcome the deities from the divine as well as heaven and traditionally you visit senior members of the family. This is also when Buddhists try not to eat meat because it will ensure longevity, this is also the time people receive Hon Bao, which was originally presented as a wedding gift.
I could go on.

I've washed my PBJs twice and soaked them 3 times over the course of their first 6 months.
PBJs don't really bleed indigo though, so that's probably why[a la Kiya's explanation of better Japanese denim].

I could toss down some history if anyone is interested.
Happy Chinese New Years Eve Sufu!

PBJs stretch a lot, so you should be fine. But it also depends on what activities you do on a daily basis?
For the first two months I had my xx-005s I went biking in them everyday for like 2 hours a day, which really stretched out the thighs...
The waist also stretched 2 inches.
You should be fine!
Also the tighter they fit the more they stretch, usually, more stress.

Can we stop arguing about Chinese subgroups and such?
Chinese New Years is a time of celebration, family and gifts!
lol.

...How'd you get those holes on your knees?
Looks like lasers burned them.

Hey man I'm just separating them for those people who want them to be separated.
Equality.

I bet the Chinese have discovered some trick in harnessing lunar energy and on the lunar new year of 2012 they will use the moon to destroy the world.

Asian people make WAY too many superstitions.
True story.

Wow that's a lot of money man.
I don't get enough to get one pair of jeans.
In fact I usually get much less.
0 -
That is both funny and sad. :/
Some of my friends get so much money from their relatives, like literally hundreds and shit.
I get some money from relatives but not a lot just like 20 or so. My immediately family gives me a little more but I usually just save my Chinese New Years money.
...and then the SuFuxDBxSE collab happened.

It is customary I thought.
That's how I've been brought up and that's how I've read about it in books and such thus far.
It's not really for like...any real reason, it's the same reason why we give gifts for Christmas, just because.

How many of you guys are going to use your Chinese New Years money to kop jeans?
food?
shoes?
porn?
toys?
more jeans?
more porn?
Haha, tell me your plans SuFu users.
P.S. Sorry to people who are not of Chinese or Taiwanese decent.
A short explanation. Basically Chinese New Years is the celebration of the Lunar New Year which is what most asian cultures celebrate as opposed to the New Year[Jan 1st]. There's a lot of folklore behind it and all but basically you give and receive money for good fortune in the new year. Just a quick explanation for those who might now know.

I just slip them into the coin pocket.
Does anyone else do this? Works great and doesn't rip the pocket.

I'd like to ask the SuFu Dior Owners something...
What belts do you guys rock with your Diors? I've been looking at belts but I don't like very many, perhaps it's because I got a black pair of Diors. Does anybody know of a nice white or black belt for around 100?
Thanks.

Wow you guys are so young to be buying such expensive denim...
Haha, but more importantly you might grow out of them!
Anyway, my pbj xx-005s have some really bad stretching because I biked in them for the first 2 months I had them.

I love the slub.
After a while you can see the vertical falling come in and it's amazing.

PBJs are hard to size.
But like LeatherSeatBelt said if you size up they are extremely comfortable and the fades are AMAZING, it just has this huge bulge in the crotch... :/
I got a 31 last time, this time I need to get a 29 I'm pretty sure, haha.

That depends, I always measure my waist based off of wear I'd actually wear them, which is like where I can feel my hip bone, which is 30 inches.
So a sz 28 Dior 19 cm measures roughly 15 inches in the waist.

Thanks dude, can't wait till that coat comes in!
EDIT: I, too, am seriously considering a pair of Indigo raw (to go with a brown leather jacket handed down to me). If I get raws, should I go with a 26?
What is your true waist? If it is like 28 or potentially 29 then yes.
I'm a waist 30 with a 28 19cm mij bks. I feel like I could have done a 27 if I really wanted to though, but I like the fit of the 28.
