yeah I already came back from my trip to japan actually. unfortunately, none of the uniqlos had any knit ties. I was able to find a nice knit tie from the suit company in yokohama for $30 though

which area are you in? I bought a couple really nice fitting oxfords from uniqlo when I was japan for only 1000 yen each (about $10). also, you can usually find oxfords at the gap for pretty cheap when they go on sale.

you can also try your luck at the boys section in zellers (no i'm not kidding). i've bought about 4 shirts from there at about $15 each. they fit surprisingly well and are holding up great.
