  1. J48 is cut like the J25. Fits profile so I sized up. For reference I'm 5'8 165lbs

size up j48.  6'3" 210lbs XL fits better than an L would (my normal size although I'm borderline).

  2. initial thoughts:

J48-SS is the jam (was hunting a black j25-ss after sleeping to no avail then this showed up).  6'3" 210lb went XL and it fits the way a hoody should (just the right amount of bag).  Texture on the outer face is unique.  Feels a little stiff but I assume it will break in over time as the inner membrane loosens up.  Ultimate hood is right.

P10-DS is my favorite acronym pant to date (compared w/ p10-S and p15-CH ).  All ACR pants should be made of DS.  Can't go back to not having the breathability and stretch.  15lbs ago I was a good fit for L but been bulking and knew that wasn't going to cut it so sized up to XL - very happy I did.  I'm probably a 35 waist and the XL waist is a bit loose but worth it for the room in the thighs.

  3. -CH is basically black - normal humans (people not on this forum) can't tell the difference.

Yeah I can't agree with this at all. There's no way the CH can be mistaken for black except after it's totally dark outside. I got the blazer in CH as well and they can't be paired because the all-blue looks too weird. I'm not really an all-black kind of dude but I've toyed with a kind of regret over not getting the pants in black.

I think Night combos well with RAF Green and Black :

A non-OCD person (i.e., not ACR's customer base) would look at this man and say he is wearing ALL BLACK.

  4. What is the difference between -DS and -SS?  I know they are both Schoeller dryskin but it seems like one is WB-400 and one is not?

Also is -DS more or less breathable than -CH?

edit: not that it really matters, because I lack impulse control and snagged that P-10DS off end.

  5. Can't deny the feels in here; the branding clearly works on many people.

I think the product speaks for itself and, at least at this point, doesn't need some secret society superiority complex identity play to help justify its existence.  Actually, it weirds me the fuck out be associated (even to be having this conversation) with some dude fantasizing about being techlluminati.

But if you're a sucker for *really* well placed zippers in black, you just have to deal with it because no one does ACR even 75% as good as ACR.  Even if someone was at 90% they still wouldn't capture the market, which clearly is willing to pay damn near anything for optimum techninj.

Maybe you can't divorce Errolson's complete vision from the quality of the product and that's why there's no real competitor; but if all other things were equal I would put my money behind the entity that respected said money enough to show me the product at the same time as everyone else.

If it was about funding, they could offer retail consumers the chance to pre-order (since they are already doing their own retail).

Someone might think I'm shitting on ACR but it's actually high praise.  Just make your awesome clothing and charge me exorbitantly; I'll even pay you up front.

  6. Going to venture a guess it's because he has subnet access / is financially invested in wholesale or retail of ACR / enjoys maintaining the status quo because it helps him sell clothing.

    Or he's sekret-erlsn,

Or ACR is experimenting with white knights this season (so daring!)

  7. it's common knowledge there's a shared agreement between a buyer and a brand to not release info about future collections unless it's approved by the brand. that's the bottom line in this situation.

it has nothing to do with subnet creating hype which result in increase of resale value. that's an entirely different discussion. that shot was in a private showroom and idiotically leaked by a new buyer. take pictures for reference, and don't release it to public unless brand says it's okay -- it's that simple. as a buyer, it's expected to respect a brand's decision whether or not to release photos, which in this case, this store didn't.

Nah the bottom line is that the second shot was leaked by someone who DGAF about the "shared agreement" that's nearly certain to be in a legally binding document.  Dude isn't an "idiot," he was in a position to leak, felt compelled to, and did.

If the leaker can be identified by ACR, they can pursue whatever legal remedies are available and/or blacklist that buyer.  If they can't identify the person, too bad?

Guy is the Edward Snowden of ACR.  PBUH.

  8. it's really not that hard to have some discretion out of respect for acr, considering how careful they are with dissemination of info.

It's just a clothing brand... you respect it by paying them lots of money.

I can't think of a single reason for the info lockdown beyond artificially inflating hype (the longer you have to see the products before they are on sale the longer you can consider them without feeling rushed to buy).  And it certainly works, because every season at the drop there is mass trigger pulling and then the impulse buys make their way back to the resale market like clockwork.

That's a business decision by ACR and leakers do so at their own risk, but it's not some great dishonor to not GAF about it.

  9. Mine came in a bag with a sheet (from union)... but it's meaningless to me.

Just something I noticed, properly scrunching the waistband was not immediately apparent.  If you pull both ends of the band out in front of you (so pressure is on your back) it scrunches up excellently (versus half tying it and/or pulling the band out to your opposite side).

Gf hates them but idgaf.  ninja hammer pants goooo

  10. welp, saw it coming from a mile away....p-17's got cancelled :(

Not to salt the wound but I got my shipping confirmation as well (from Union).  Did you hit them up?  Did they give a reason?

  11. I think desiring a result and putting in effort to achieve that is an admirable abstraction.   Even if the product you purchase does not "better you," the process of going about getting it does.

All cares can be shit on.  But everyone worth a damn is enthusiastic about something so fuck it, go get ya sneaks.

  12. I emailed Union today just generally about the delay but no response.

There's nothing in their policies indicating they can cancel if the pricing was mistaken.

  13. Yes.

The pic you posted is a bit of a strawman.

want to clarify that I don't think being a "real" ro fan whatever that means is important. At the end of the day all you are doing is paying (a lot) of money for something that someone else had made, and that doesn't make you authentic or anything.

I would argue that the general act of striving for something that you appreciate is more authentic than indiscriminately buying one of everything because you won't even feel it and like bragging on the internet.

  14. Be aware when you send it to Germany that you're going to be paying customs + shipping fees. I couldn't find my receipt for my J1A-LP that ripped a button and it ended up being over 200 dollars with shipping + customs (not including the 50 dollar ship out fee).

yeah i'm def not doing that... would sooner do it myself despite not knowing sewjitsu

Thanks much...been wanting to pick up those P17's & that's just the right price.

    Guilty as charged as well.

  15. I'm sure this has been answered before but it wasn't readily apparent.

I have a couple of ACR pieces that need some stitching repairs.  Specifically, the contact point of the main strap on a 3A-5TS and a J-29 pocket flap are coming unstitched.

Would I need to send it to germany to get it fixed by the pros?  I could always just wing it with a tailor but if there's a domestic option that would be ideal.

  16. is the intended fit on this brand supposed to be baggy?

got the ness shirt at xl and its the widest shirt ever, could have easily went L with my chest at 44" the shirt was like 50" wide XL

on the other hand got this seasons no sub shorts xl felt normal fit

looking at t-shirt measurements i swear im xl  and it looks like it would be fitted but haven't tried on a tee yet

can anyone help me out in sizing?

I got the empt-ness shirt in L and it fits well but it's clearly not meant to be fitted in the torso (I'm 6'3", 185-205, 38"-40" bare chest depending on bulk/cut).  XL would have been too baggy for sure.  Torso length was normal (unlike the hoodies, see below).

Recently picked up the plague hoodie in L as well.  Fit is intentionally baggy, sleeves fit as mikeyone4life described.  Torso is intentionally short which could be made somewhat better by sizing up 1 but probably not significantly enough to make the extra bagginess in the shoulders worth it.

I fit a L in almost everything so... I say TTS is generally a safe bet if you're fit unless you have a freakishly long torso.
