pomata - sanforized denim seems to really have that extra super leg twist, there was an explanation somewhere but i forgot what it is. anyone care to give me a refresher?

I think Unsanforized denim tends to have more leg twist. I believe its caused by the denim not shrinking an even amount in all places when soaked or washed. which causes the twisting of the fabric

I don't understand why everybody requires a hot soak. If you cold soak and cold wash the jeans you don't really have to worry about max min shrinkage.

My experience is that by the time the max shrinkage occurs, ten washes down the line, the jeans are so flexible that they stretch right back out within an hour of wear.

words of wisdom. this is what i do for most of my jeans, i have a big waist so i pretty much size down 2 on all my jeans to fit my legs, and the waist always stretches out if i don't soak them too hot.

710's should be true to size or even sized down 1 if you are skinny enough

XX-005 one wash. worn for 5 1/2 months. soaked in march and washed in may. i don't wear hem too hard. just mainly walking back and forth to class.
