    5yrs ago i wore tight black jeans, currently i've been wearing (comparatively) loose jp selvage for 5 or so years and now i think i'm regressing back to narrow black shit again.

     

    slim acne jeans, i'm catchin' all sorts of hate man.

    you were up here? shoulda said whats up! were you at the cold world/turnstile gig? turnstile was best set i saw at the fest. was only at a few shows, art show tues, die/shit weds, karaoke thurs, worked the d unit (with sam bosson playing second drummer so fuckin sick)/puce mary show fri + afterparty, cold world sat and a bit of the matinee sunday. hectic fest, my man greg really went in this year, after static shock weekend a couple weeks ago and this i'm fuckin punked out until 2015 though

     

    oh damn, next time dude!  

     

    i was actually there since wednesday (for the DiE gig)... went to all the aftershows at soybomb too.  karaoke party on thursday was hilarious haha.  jose was barely putting up the art stuff the day after on thursday, so i didn't really get to see everything pinned up.  i left the cold world gig after mindset, but i ended up seeing turnstile at the surprise set on sunday before i bounced to the airport.

     

    i'll probably be back next year.  toronto is too sick

    Went to William Gibson's reading/Q+A/book signing at University Book Store and he was decked out. Wasn't wearing his jacket indoors but saw it slung over the back of his chair and it was a GT variant. Also wearing a past season's black fleece (?) hoodie with dual chest pockets, P16A-S in Raf Green, and Common Projects black achilles lows. Should have taken a picture for posterity/ID purposes but by the time I was getting my book signed I didn't want to bother him.

     

    If anyone else goes to his book signing I'd expect he'd be dressed similarly, and hopefully you'd have the chance to be in on the joke/chat for a moment about ACR.

     

    As a sidenote, during the Q+A I asked him if he was fascinated with the importance of marketing eclipsing the products being sold or if he wrote about the topic because this pattern is detrimental. He responded by asserting that his novels are not intended to be didactic (his word, not mine: intended to teach, particularly in having moral instruction as an ulterior motive) but he also mentioned earlier on in his Q+A that his politics sometimes slip through the cracks when he is writing characters.
