also comparing yourself to others is a terrible idea... everyone regardless of social status have their own problems within their own reality that feels as real as any other simply because it's their own reality. everyone lives in their own reality/monkeysphere/etc with its own set of issues... I mean if comparing yourself to third world problems helps then good for you but living as a means of comparing yourself to others isnt really gonna help properly depressed people who are in a personal hell hole they can't even peek out of

IMO people need to realise the only real competition you need to have is with yourself

I don't think you understand. your core intention is the same as anyone else you claim to not want to be associated to - you're dressing up in a way you think looks good. any predefined context is entirely human in construct and hence just as meaningless or meaningful as what you want it to be. whether you're in supreme mij vans or head to toe soloist is irrelevant; everything is dress up. your idea of a simple outfit is no less a dress up costume than bell bottoms and wide collars were in the 70s.

I was raising an objective statement not a personal one but the fact that you took it personally instinctively without thinking about what I'm really referring to just gives away the kind of person you are, which I have yet to specifically mention, meaning it's still open ended until you form one that will truly reflect yourself.

Went hiking in my climbers the other day. They fared well in the snow and were great for climbing trees and boulders, but I came out of the wilderness with quite a few snags/loose threads. A bit disappointing to say the least. I wish outlier would come out with a more durable solution while maintaining the same level of functionality.

i wear my climbers only ever to work and i have a loose thread from a snag somewhere too. and the right inseam always curves outwards so the seam runs down the front of my right leg. a little weird but they'll still great.
