  1. i always get fit for free at several LBS, even if i dont buy bikes from them. i thought that was normal.

and some people fit wierd , im just saying those "by the book" fitting doesnt always work. My cousin runs track and is 6"1 but runs a 55 because he can bend down without discomfort, for a better aero and allows arms to be fully extended for more comfort on longer events. basically his bike has a huge saddle to bar drop...

Im saying there is a definite advantage when a pro fits you compared to measure yourself up.

also im not saying go to any bike store to get fit cuz half of those guys dont know sht, but well known shops that do track too, they can help you more than ever immaginable, not just fit but also general tips...

    that said

if the fit fits, and is comfortable for longer rides and feels good for sprints, just ride it. I really didnt care about fit until i ran on the track, makes a difference, but def not enough to drop couples bills for riding in the street.

    i dunno my 2 cents...

  2. dog shit?

    naw more like

    candy cane

    or

    barbies first track bike...

anyways about the whole fitting thing i really just said that to make them aware of the other possibilites, most people think that fitting a bike is just measure ur inseam, just wanted to make sure he knows that there is more to that and if he wanteed a really quality fit he would do that...

that said, its not really neccesary,

Another thing is its always to ride the bike before u buy it, like if u have a friend that rides or someone u know in the area with a bibike like the one ur going to ride, it would be good to take it for a test ride and see how it matches to u...

  3. go to a bike shop and get sized.

there they can help u also size properly measureing ur body torso flexibility and all then they can help picku the right bike...

but if u dont care about any of that get a kilo tt, great bike, great price.

  4. welll most thickker tires for mas skidz are labeled as touring or urban riding tires (victoria randenours) which often start at around 25 and go up to 28. They are a bit burlier, They have lasted to my personal experience-longer; They absorb hits more. The thing that sucks is you deff feel the rolling resistance, but they deff also last longer, are sturdier (they feel sturdier, I wouldnt know about the real facts), and more cushy.

For the whole double tire thing. You can do that with any tire size, except im sure 20's would just be dumb to try that lol. Im doing it with a crappy 5 dollah 25 right now and a skidded out 23 inside of it until i have some mo monay. Its good so far, lowwer pressure tho and rolling resistance is even more prevalent but its coo i guess..feels alot softer..

  5. you should grease almost anything with connections or threads...

    helps alot alot alot...

also spinergy rear wheels with track hubs can be bought easily for like 100 if u look.

aerospoke are dope, but they weight like 4 pounds and rattly in the wind..

if u want strength go for mavic open pro's to a phill wood 3cross lacing...

that sht will last long time

  6. yea i cant get those other i kinda bummed theiir soooo hooootttt

wellll i heard somwhere u dont have to use all the holes in the hub, or that may be the rim im not sure right now....

    but

    box rims

    are super classy

    dont weigh a ton

    and im told bomb proof...

and araya aeroheads are nice too..like the classic deep v's..

the thing is they look bettter and also come in deep v chrome..something that velocity or weinman doesnt offer...

    plus they pretty strong too...

oooooo ooooo campy zonda i dont kno hole count on those tho..

  7. fck thats crazy...one night at like 3 i was bombing some hills with my friends and when we got down we just chillled and biked on ope flat city roads... there was a truck behind us that followed us without lights the turned them on when he was clser and highbeamed us we moved out the way and he zoomed past, my friend was pissed, considering it was a 4 lane road, and swerved in front of this truck just a simple in out and the car slammed its brakes and it screeched to a stop and chased us around with the lights off i hauled my ass off and the rest of the guys were like wtf for a while before they noticed the truck coming after us...

    anyways

these two hooligans chased us and some of our friends hid in a driveway and they threw beer bottles at us and went away...

also i ran into like two parked cars that night and knocked clean off a side mirror...karma...

that was years ago when i was a freshman in highschool....

  8. that exaactly how i got CL and i got it cheap too...

i just took parts from other bikes and stuff lying around to put it together...thats why the colors are like different...

ridees nicenicenice!! hell snappy off the line but feels kinda fragile...

but w/e its time to go mashin

  9. the skid patch theory is true. its basic physics. The reason it doesnt work accurately is because positioning of pedals vary. my front foot can vary from anything from 11 to 7 oclock angle and if i just skid in one side like this I will have ONE HUUUGGEGEE skid. likewise you can imagine that both sides will be the same.

in a perfect worl where we can skid with perfect at 9 and 3 we will have the skid pathces used in the calculations, but because this is not the case we often will have these skids "smudged" together...

basicaly it works but because it is based on perfection which is unrealistic. but the calculations are true.

  10. the answer to you question is simple.

your biek doesnt fit you. One major component of bike fiting is flexibility.

This proves vital to finding out the appropriate saddle bar drop. Most track racers dont have that much concern of this as road racers because most track races do not last as long, BUT every proffesional and good (road) bike fitter will check flexibility.

This shows the bike fitter how long the top tube along with how much of a saddle bar drop is apprpriate.

to fix your problem, get a shorter stem, or get a stem with a positive rise, or get risers that willl put u in a more natural position.

Or you can just more flexible which is alot harder...

  11. well the randenours are really thick puncture proof tires. muche like gatorskinz or armadillos they'll last you a super long time.

Plus white tires wont ever get so dirty that they look brown or something.

    They always look white.
