  1. a lot of people wore skinny/straight legs too, and the 67 606 is a straight leg, no taper, on the slim side, costomized with a lower waist, and a slight taper on the bottom inch. in the 60's, people were still making their own bell bottoms from straight legs, etc

  2. I know it's a bit early, but does anyone know how these fade?

I was looking at these wicked teal pair of weird guys selvage from dutil in van, but i'm skeptical on how they're going to turn out.

Or for any wash for that matters

  3. unfortunately levis hasn't fixed their sizing i guess, but that sounds like something they'd do. I wouldn't know for sure because the information i've gotten is from canada, so we don't get the full extent of the north american line, mostly from the USA, which has more volume, sounds like an interesting find

  4. Levis for their fall/winter 08 line are changing the fit of the 501 and re-introducing some more selvage cuts and washes. Supposidly it's going to be the slimmest the 501 has ever been. They've also been bringing back real leather patches, and nicer washes. Although this was breifly posted in the news, thought i might as well give a little more detail.

There's going to be 3 washes in selvage, a washed selvage, with natural fading paterns from 501's, a dry selvage indigo, which is already available but in the older fit, and either a green cast or something i can not remember off the top of my head, which are all going for 120.

What's the thought on levis? they're really changing, and finally getting the vintage looks and washes. They're even going to launch some premium orange tab for those who want LVC but not the hefty pricetag. Even in their Premium capital E line they're stepping up with better washes and japanese denim in certain fits.

    Much to look forward to...

  5. you're right Keys, some of these collaborations and things are ridiculous, especially with the shoes. they are fashion though, and fashion has a price...

oh well, i like the styling, i wish it went back to grassroots a bit more like most brands are doing now (including mega's like levis), and even though they are a little, with the 40's inspired denim jump suits and military styled clothing (even that new model looks like a soldier), that's not a reality. you kinda gotta dig through their stuff and find the gold. if you mixed around some of the stylings, the summer collection would look really good. i mean, who the fuck came up with the idea of cargo shorts, boots, and a cardigan or whatever that is? honestly...

  6. There's a reason why they're called cheap monday...

on a pair of original one wash's the denim was nice and stiff but they fucked up the rivets and put them through the pocket. i fixed it right up but lost most of the pocket

  7. I don't know, with my italian unwash's i did true to my size, 29-34, and the only think i found was that the inseam was a bit short. I've had a couple weeks of wear in them and two accidental washes and they've lost a lot of color, they look completely different now, but i don't know how well they'll fade... i didn't know that cheap mondays faded at all really until i saw a pair on the previous page

i'm pretty skinny but even if cheap mondays do shrink, i find they tend to stretch right back out once you wear em in again. just try to wash them the least amount as possible as a rule of thumb i guess... and no heat, ruins their already shitty quality. those things aren't built to last very long.

  8. wow, i think a lot of you are missing the point of a.p.c. it's sorta the anti diesel etc, which is worth commending. for those of you who haven't looked over this interview it's on the apc jean thread

    http://www.refinery29.com/archives/editorial-features/000211.php

every time apc comes out with their new season the whole thing seems knocked, they're selling ideas. like all fashion, like honestly, if you really think of it, fashion is like art.
