  1. Just got a pair of FH BSPs that have been soaked 3-4x in warm water and hung dry each time. Although FH denim tends to keep shrinking (mainly in length) more than other brands, does the hem opening/leg width shrink a significant amount over time with each subsequent wash or is the shrinkage barely noticeable?Any insight would be appreciated.

  2. FS: HY-J3S Hybrid Etaproof Softshell Jacket X-Large (fits like a Large):

Jacket fits slim, more like a size Large jacket. For reference, I am 5'10 and 187 lbs and this jacket fits perfect. I am a size 44 in Flathead japanese shirts, L in uniqlo thermal V-neck tees

I used with a ruler with the garment laid flat:
    Shoulder: 19"
    Shoulder to bottom length: 25.5"
    Sleeve: 24.5"

Asking $485 shipped within the USA (pay via Paypal gift or add 4% for Paypal fees).  PM me for international shipping cost.  Meetups in San Francisco area are welcomed!

  3. Up for sale is an essentially new pair of custom-made Brown Horween Leather Captoe Trench boots in size 11.5. These boots have only been worn once, as I decided they were slightly too big for me. My loss is your gain!

Check the pictures and note that the leather and bottom soles are in excellent condition.

These boots are NOT STOCKED regularly on the Oak Street Bootmaker online store and must be custom-ordered. I bought these for $480 ($430 + $50 custom order upcharge fee). These are essentially near new, as I only wore them 1x time to try them on and haven't worn them again.

The quality of these boots are nothing short of amazing and the ONLY reason I am selling them is because they are too big for my feet as I plan on re-ordering in a smaller size.

    FH SHIRT SOLD!!!!

  5. The paclite hood should be lighter and pack tighter than the Stotz hood, also it would go well with the pleather sleeve. Go for it.

actually its the older, all epic cotton version J1-A. Epic cotton is kinda flat black and I believe paclite is shinier right?

  6. Thinking about buying a friend's older epic cotton J1-A in Black, only thing is that it comes with a Pac-lite hood instead of the Stock epic cotton hood. Not really familiar with Pac-lite material, but was wondering if this would be a weird/strange combo aesthetically? thanks

  7. For those that have Iron Heart Loopwheeled 7.5oz shirts, I need sizing advice. I'm buying my first IH shirt and feel like I'm in between measurements for a L and XL. I'm 197lbs, 5'11 w/athletic build (THC FH shirt size 44) and wanted to know which size to go for? Thanks in advanced.

  8. For what it's worth, I've handled all the different tees Flat Head makes, and the THC ones are by far my favorite.  Both the fabric and neck design are the best of any T-shirt I've ever worn.  Personally, I think loopwheeling makes a bigger difference when it comes to making sweatshirts than T-shirts.

Also, the necks on FH tees are small when new because it's designed to stretch to accommodate the size of your neck without stretching out.  Most people take neck stretch for granted because modern tees are usually made with a large percentage of synthetic material in the fabric; making a 100% cotton tee that won't stretch out is actually pretty difficult.  Flat Head does it through a combination of the smaller initially neck hole size, and the triple-stitching technique where two of the stitches are on the neck, and one on the body right beneath the neck.

Since you work for FH, maybe you can answer this. Do you know why they don't make v-necks in size 44-46 like they do in shirts? Also, do the THC series heavy cotton get softer as they age/get washed n worn?

  9. I've only had experience with Flat Head and Iron Heart so far, but for me Iron Heart tees definitely are superlative.  Very thick, comfortable, and in my opinion drape fantastically.  I take a medium as I do in almost all Japanese stuff.

Interesting, I thought most preferred FH loopwheeled over IH loopwheeled shirts. Are the IH shirt fabric a lot softer, more comfy to wear or are they pretty close?

  10. Hoping for some help here-

I am trying to take advantage of the current $/yen situation to pick up a pair of S5000BK off Rakuten. I am ordering from 2nd, as they have a free shipping deal going on. I placed my order, and then got an email from the dude. I think he is saying I can't use a credit card, and I have to use paypal. Anybody know anything about this? I don't have the first clue how to pay for this using paypal, plus, I already put all my credit card info into Rakuten when I placed my order. There is a bunch of other information I can't decipher in the email, but this seems to be the important point.

    Thanks!

Is it free shipping to the U.S.? or just within Japan?

  11. quick question since I'm looking for a comfy hoody. Was wondering if anyone who owns a buzz rickson sweatshirt and a IHSW-04 hoody can tell me if the hoody loopwheeled material is as soft/comfortable as buzz rickson's loopwheeled fabric? I love my buzz rickson and its def the most comfortable sweatshirt i have. I know both are loop wheeled, but wasn't sure how IH loopwheeled material is. Thanks.
