  1. Never have i seen so much good will in one thread :)

I have a feeling that this will be great!

Anyone from this tour that i haven't repped yet?

You sir, have not touched my epeen yet. no homo.

So we're aiming for a November start date?

  2. Another thing about Amoskeag, was that they had Ishagaki cow leather. Saw a few jackets I liked, but also liked the seamless jeans. I hadn't heard of the name until I came back onto Sufu, but I wouldn't have been able to afford it as I picked up a pair of Sammies from BiG earlier in the day.

I stumbled upon this place when I was in NYC in late June. Sadly, this was before SENY opened up. I didn't even notice any signs as I was not expecting to find it anywhere.

Beatle, did you stop by il Labotorio del Gelato while you were on Orchard??

  3. Seriously, if you guys can do Weird Guys in Green Denim in a size 30 I'll be so down. Saw them in store downtown today and was immediately drawn to the green.

Apparently, the green is dyed after the thread was dyed indigo, so as they fade, the jeans actually get darker. Not sure how much credibility this holds, as I was told by one of the staff at Showroom in TO.

  4. 1st. the fit is off, they don't seem so grim tim to me..

2nd. the washed is awful. really... they are just awful.

3rd. like everyone said, do you need a new thread just to show us your awful washed and misleading fit of grim tim??

    peace,

it's not supposed to be a grim tim fit...though i would agree that the wash and finish isn't that great.

  5. my take on a braised beef taco

brisket braised in a sweet soy and tomato sauce

topped with garlic spiced spanish onions, grated cheddar (left in fridge), leaf lettuce, toasted sesame seeds, scallion-cilantro-lime sauce (not pictured)

  6. my tagged 27s have stretched to measure about 32". It depends where they sit on your hips

here's mine after about 10months of total wear, but they've been owned for about 13months. I've moved onto a pair of sammies since then

  7. Dasayalay,

Lucky you with tabs on 0505XXX2 from BIG.

I got arcs, which seems to be standard, from BIG on my 0505XX2. No tabs though.

    ThePhantom

Yeah, Gordon said the tabs slip by easily, but only a few with the tabs make it by. I picked mine up from the NYC store itself, so I was able to choose which pair to cop.

dasaylay, how much have those stretched?

Surprisingly, not that much since I'm wearing them pretty lose. It's a nice change away from the slimmer cuts we see around here on sufu such as APC NS, Skull 6x6, etc. If anything, they've stretch out slightly in the thighs but I wear a belt so the waist stays pretty much the same.

  8. Crossposting my pic from How do jeans fit thread..

I figured everyone was asking for a S0505XXII fit so here you go. These were post 2nd initial soak.

TTS, 32. Maybe slightly up half a size (since BiG only had 30 and 32), but I like the fit since I wanted something looser. Going on a month and a half now. Before anyone jumps on my throat, yes, it came from BiG with arcs and tabs.

  9. Directly from BiG. And yes, black arcs WITH tab.

When I saw in them in the store I noticed that the red tab got by as well so I asked Gordon about it. He said that sometimes they slip by unnoticed so he just leaves it on anyways. Though here's the kicker...the stock with the tab intact isn't in the storefront as this pair was pulled from the back. Sammies can still come with black arcs, but golden arcs are a definite no.

    cleared my name yet?

  10. Instead of starting a new thread, I searched and found this thread since it's the same topic.

I went to the Gap for fun today to take a look around and maybe check out some winter clothes. Pretty much found nothing til I decided to see if they brought back some selvedge denim again. They did. Low rise straight fit. There are prefaded ones and this pair was probably a one-wash. Not the darkest, but a fairly dark shade of indigo. Denim also wasn't very stiff at all. A lighter denim (moreso around 10oz?) At $98CAD a pair, might or might not be worth it to some...but it's still Gap jeans in the end. Might pick up a pair when they get reduced to $20-30.

Selvedge outseam, exposed selvedge coin pocket. Smallest size I found was a tagged 29, which still fit loose on me (27 in NS, 31.5" true waist). Here are some fit pics I took in the change room.
