  1. You and me both today brother!!

    23thws0.jpg

    Right on, bro! 710s?

I love the feel of the Samurai tee. To be honest it was my first time dropping $100 on any t-shirt. I can bring myself to buy $300 jeans, but for shirts it's a little harder to do.

P.S. thanks for the +rep, everyone

  2. Crossposting my pic from How do jeans fit thread..

I figured everyone was asking for a S0505XXII fit so here you go. These were post 2nd initial soak.

TTS, 32. Maybe slightly up half a size (since BiG only had 30 and 32), but I like the fit since I wanted something looser. Going on a month and a half now. Before anyone jumps on my throat, yes, it came from BiG with arcs and tabs.

1 hot soak, 2 washes, and 11 months later...I've lost some weight so the fit is different than what I initially started off with. Fading not as extreme as others, but it was in heavy rotation with other pairs.

and to go along with it, from Take5, HK

  3. Chan, I'll get you some fit pics soon since it's hard to get a good shot with the sun peeking in and out of clouds here today

505XII uses the texas denim? I thought they were using a smoother textured denim similar to the old 505 and the USA model (deadstock 505 denim). Are there ridiculously large warp slubs that the texas denim has? Could we get some more detail shots?

From the first page of Samurai thread

S505XX II - lowrise 710 fit; 15oz. Texas demin, black arcuates; zip fly

Though I'm not sure about it being the S710 fit. It seems to be a little more relaxed relative (I tried both on at BiG). Ultimately I even sized UP one. Yes, very rare for Samurai cuts.

Samurai uses their 'sword selvedge' denim for this particular one and although there is some slubbiness, it's not ridiculous like the SExSC jeans.

*All taken with a P&S so excuse the shot quality

Hard to capture real colour accuracy with the weather and this POS cam.

  4. S0505XXII - The pair noone seems to buy! First soak July 1, 2009.

6 months effective wear. It happens when you buy a pair of F310, SExSC06, and 634S in between

2 initial hot soaks. 1 soak at 3 months. 1 wash at 5.5 months.

  5. glad to know they arrived safe!

I'm looking forward to see what you can do with those jeans. By the way, how tall are you? looks like you're around my height..170cm/5'7"ish judging from your BSPs

Flatheads fade way faster than N&F...my F310s are showing wear after total of 3 weeks worth of wear since they're on rotation, but take a backseat to my sammies.

  6. Great work copping the rest of the stock CUTUP :)

Are they numbered on the inside like the rest of the stock? Should be out of 33. My pair was probably not numbered as it might've been a floor model.

  7. Packing up and waving goodbye to the jeans before I send them off to NY. You can tell how green the jeans really are in real life. Makes for many awkward stares when you wear them out in day light :P

I wore my old pair of APCs today. Should've stuck to some heavier denim as the wind killed me when I was snapping pics. Waving bye

  8. Freezing cold today on the 29th. -22c with windchill here.

I'm sending these off to danisfake tomorrow so I picked up a bubble mailer today to ship. Also, last couple of nights:

Lined up and rained on for half an hour with my buddy on Saturday morning for Boxing Day. 7:30AM outside XS Cargo...this store sucks, my friend only wanted to buy a 26" Refurb LCD TV for 200 bucks...which he got. It was decent.

Woke up early next morning to go downtown Toronto to do some errands. I heard OTR had Iron Hearts at 50% off....obviously I had to help myself. Last 30 in stock. Lookin good with the its Japanese brothers.

Went to Niagara Falls with my girlfriend+fam Sunday night. We stayed at the Embassy Suites hotel, but spent most of the time at the Fallsview Casino.

Monday we went to Canada One Outlets...and was packed and nothing to buy so we went back. Stopped by Inniskillin Vineyards and picked up a bottle of Icewine. Nothing like $54CAD for 200ml of icewine.

Lifted bridge on way back from Niagara-on-the-lake. A huge ship was crossing through.

  9. dasaylay, where is OTR? Were their other sizes available?

Yorkville in Toronto. Full name is Over The Rainbow. Not sure on the sizes left as I only checked the rack for my sizes. There were 3 pairs of 31s left, and the rest were likely to be sz32 and up.

  10. Monday

We hit the road to go to London, ON to visit our buddy. He's a grad student at UWO doing field research for some eco-biosphere stuff....and soil...things a business student wouldn't understand.

We took my friend's Wrangler up there

    2009-jeep-wrangler-sahara-001.jpg

    aptly named, "Squeels on Wheels"

    picture025fk.jpg

When we got to London, we stopped for Starbucks then across the street to Manna Grill for some Korean food for lunch

I had the Spicy Pork and Rice lunch combo. With a ginger ale.

    picture027gg.jpg

After lounging around campus, we went back to the outskirts of the city back to our London friend's apartment. Watched a movie, and then made dinner. Korean Curry Chicken. Yes, lots of Korean dishes since I'm 1/4 Korean, and my friend is Korean as well. Pics to come when he uploads them from his D200.

Proceeded to get drunk later that night, til I drunkenly made Monterey Jack Mac'n'cheese at 1230am

    picture028cp.jpg

And capped the night off by wandering 75mins looking for the nearest gas station to pick up a pack of smokes...
