US Authentic is a good place to start, and their pattern makes some concessions to modern clothes - they tend to be longer in the body then most originals ever were, but will fit better over an untucked t-shirt accordingly.

What are you looking to spend roughly?

My understanding was that lot 10 started at tag size and then shrunk smaller (1-2 sizes depending) where as they normally shrink to tagged size.

I don't think it generally matters unless you are talking about lot #10. Some of them ran smaller than other lots. I think they shrank FROM tag size rather than TO tag size.

Maxpedition and Blackhawk aren't that hardcore, they are in the thoroughly mediocre region as far as nylon goes.

Kifaru is at the top of the pile. Eagle stuff is the shit. TAD stuff is the shit.

I do not own a TAD pack, but their other stuff that I own is well worth the price.
