  1. the one thing i'm waiting for is a black version of the s0500xx texas denim...

haha, besides that i'm really thinking about picking up a pair of s710bk since they really look very nice...

Are they gonna be released??????? or is it just rumor??

  2. I also 2 size down from my s5000vx. I got 32. True waist 34"

When I soak it, I placed rectangular cookie sheet on the waist to avoid much shrinkage.

Now, it fits me a littleee bit tight on the waist, but not painfully tight.

I also lose a couple pounds.. Maybe that is the explanation why I can fit : )

    Btw, fndmybetterhalf...

when you soaked your 0500xx, you already placed a hanger at the waist, right? how come it is still tight? even you only sized down 1.

  3. Agreed. I know it seems like a lot of cash, but go straight for one of the Japanese brands like Samurai or Flathead, etc. Most of us on here started with something like Nudie or APC, and then ended up buying a nicer pair and tossing them to the side. Save yourself the money and the hassle.

There are always good deals in the supermarket. Find a brand/cut/model you like, get the sizing advice in the corresponding thread, and then scour for someone else's pair for sale.

haha trust gimmegimme...... I also started with nudie, but after I bought Samurai and Flathead, you can notice the big gap on the quality between the japanese brand and nudie/APC

  4. huahahaaaa pal... this is not a forum to discuss about rock republic, true religion, seven, and other fashion brand denim. This is a forum to discuss REAL japanese denim brands like Samurai, Flathead, Studio D'artisan, DenimJunkie, etc.

You should change your denim style. I used to wear TR and RR, but after I read this forum I am interested in japanese denim.

The benefits of wearing japanese denim:

    - nice fades

    - durable

    - high quality (much higher than those fashion denim brands)

    - less water consumption to wash ur denim as you dont need to wash it often

    - etc

    that's only my opinion

  5. I'm curious then, denimformytummy, why you're spending time on your nudies if you admit they're lower quality...

Haha.. good question.. I already wore my nudies for 4-5 months before I know other higher quality japanese brands like Samurai, Flathead, etc. Since I already waste my 5 month time, I just wear it until it hit 1 year. I don't like to stop at the middle of the breaking in process. BTW, I already saw many great results from nudie in spite of its lower quality. That's only my opinion : ) .

  6. ^ hey, im not going to doubt you denim expert if you say nudies & apc are shit.

but if you want to sound credible, at least give me reasons why they're not as good as compared to say samurais, flat heads, iron hearts, etc. Otherwise i would think people buy samurais because other people buy it and it's more expensive than nudies & apC so that justifies theyre a better quality? in whichever case, it's not the reason for me to pick up anything >$150.

are the cottons better or something? or what makes samurai superior?

Hi mr. Invicible, I also just got into dry denim 5-6 months ago and I already read hundred thousands of posts in mynudies and sufu forum.

If you want to hear reason why japanese brands like Samurai, SDA, Eternal, Flatheads, Ironhearts, PBJ, etc (u name it) are better than APC and Nudie.

First factor is that their quality is more durable and they have better construction. The most important thing is the dying process.

For Japanese brands, you can wash your jeans monthly or even weekly without losing much of indigo, and you can still get a good fades.

Try to wash your nudies/APC monthly or even weekly, they will lose A LOT of indigo for each wash. It is almost impossible to get a good fade with nudies/apc washed frequently.

That's only my knowledge coz I just got into dry denim 4 months ago. Hope it helps a bit.
