now that i think about it...... how can i tell if flatheads are real?? the seller told me they are from pre2001 so they are OLD, but i dont know if they are real or not. i dont even know if the company existed in 2001....
FH already opened at 2001. Ask the seller to give you more photos such as the selvedge, inside pocket, etc.

WTF, Flathead for $46.05........... Is that authentic? If it is, then you are so damn lucky
Flathead is unsanforized, so you will expect shrinkage after soak/wash......
damn lucky............
hahahahaha

hey jay..... Fading is not everything. Both Lamb and sidneylo have great pairs. Their different fades is caused by their body types and what activities they did in them.
Surely, you wont go hiking a lot or workin in a mine to get a beautiful fade.
So, stop comparing which one is better and blam Sid for editing.
Both are great pairs.

Question. I fucked up my patch doing a hot soak on my jeans. It's now hard like a cracker. Is there any way to get it back to being supple??
apply some leather oil on them.

Great idea! You could get 4 crappy pairs for $250 instead of 1 good pair, and end up wearing them all out in the same amount of time you would've spent on the 1 good pair....
Well, I only recommend him to get the fit he want (tight fit)
What do you recommend anyway smarty? it seems that there are very few tight fit that has high quality.
Skulls is a good option.

I have to agree with napoleon. I down sized 2 with my s5000vx and stretch it manually. Finally, it could fit better.
Trust me zero denim stretch A LOT, weeks after you wear it, you will feel the difference.
BUT, it is your jeans. It is up to you though.
Good luck

I am sorry to bring this topic back again, but I 'm really curious.
Do Samurai still have problem with the sizing (shrink from tag size 32 to 30) until now? or they already fixed it?
coz, nobdy discuss it anymore...
I am planning to proxy from 2nd.
Thanks in advance for ur opinion

just think it as a process of aging...... dont worry too much

see, thats why i dont like to machine wash or dry. for 4 reasons:
1) the stupid creases that are more likely to occur
2)the machine agitates the entire jean, thus increasing the chances of the jean looking washed-out too early.
3) in the good old aces&eights days they didn't have washers or dryers
4) hang drying leaves the denim more rigid imho.
Then, what do you recommend for cleaning them up?
Hand-wash/ soak??

from the "how do jeans fit" thread
probably wont get to break these in for a while. still working on some jins and tasukis
pre soak measurements
waist 31
front rise 10.5
back rise 13.5
thigh 11.5
knee 8.5
hem 8
inseam 36
Is that a 5000 fit?????? it is supposed to be regular fit (slimmish)
its so slim : )
it is more like one size up s710xx cut for me imo
hehe

yeah.. the one that really matters is how hard you wear those jeans not the time.
In my case, I sit a lot and walk less than 2 miles a day. I am a student who are sitting for hours hearing a lecture... therefore, I need more time to break in my jeans T-T
