Does anyone here own a pair of the White's hikers?

I need a new pair of hiking boots, my crappy Vasques are bumming me out....

I was at the RRL store in Malibu today and they had some really nice work shirts.

(As well as many other amazing items.)

Oh and size up 1/2 from your Barrie last/chukka size.

I wear 9 1/2 in cordo and calf chukkas and the 10 Plaza fits me like a dream.

Now if Leathersoul would just do that beautiful Plaza wing tip boot in brown calf!

Aldens fucking rule......

I think that the chukkas, though a bit "chunky" can look great with a suit, esp in cordovan.

That said, I find the Plaza last to be much sleeker and even better for a more dressy look. Boot or shoe.

I'm looking to order some ultimate Indys from Tom at Leathersoul and I'm trying to pin

down my size. I wear 9 1/2 in Alden chukkas (Barrie last) and 10 in Alden's Plaza last.

I'm thinking I'd be a 9 1/2 but if someone who owns these and other Alden lasts (Amlai?) could chime in that would be so helpful. Thanks!

So, I've been dreaming of an Alden wing tip boot on the plaza last, a la familyman's

beautiful boots in this thread, but done in brown calf instead of cordovan. I wrote to

Leather Soul and they have no plans to order such a boot.

Anyone else think that this would be a beautiful shoe? Maybe if enough folks

wanted them we could make an order happen....

And they stretch in the waist quite a bit, I'd say one size or so...
