  1. No idea where they'll be dropping. I did a little googling but everyone is keeping the release locations on the DL. Bloody fist fights aka fighting with homeless and chinese resellers is expected.

My guess would be the usual tier 0 spots

    -Atmos

    -Mita Sneakers

    -Undefeated Harajuku and Shizoka

    -Nike Store Harajuku

    -Agito (I'm guessing)

I still want Air Yeezy 1's. Totally out of my price range though.

    Thanks for the info.

Looks like the same clusterfuck as every other country unfortunately. Predictions for what they rocket up to on Ebay? I say $2.5K.

  2. You think it will be possible to find Yeezy IIs in Japan? Only reference point I have is that when the cement Jordan 4s came out you couldn't find them in the US but could walk in and buy a pair at the Nike Store in JPN.

  3. Eden went off pretty good :) I guess their promo is still a work in progress but they said it was one of their bigger nights. Hopefully back soon.

Ended up at brunch at the Langham Hotel Xintandi 5th Floor veranda on Sunday. Pretty much all Italians and model bleazies. Buffet was a nice spread. Recommended.

  4. the nightlife in shinsaibashi is pretty gross

lately it is quite the shit show. some of the clubs operating after hours but every good club in the area has been either forced to go only till 1 am or closed down all together. the local government wanted to take out the nightclubs and, after 1+ year, have pretty much been successful. my party is at OWL in Umeda now and its pretty weird telling people that the party is over at 1AM. makes waking up for work the next day a bit easier but still def sucks.

clubs in Shinsaibashi that are operating past 1 AM as far as I know:

Azure, Wax, Candy, & Sam and Dave 2 (note:Candy and Sam and Dave keep their doors shut after 1AM and turn out the lights in the entrance to try to convince cops that its just a bar space and not a club)

  5. The impression I've gotten from both Japanese friends at Waseda and foreigners is that working at a Japanese company would be horrible, especially if you are not used to hierarchies imposed by Japanese culture / keigo.

This. I briefly worked for a semiconductor testing company in Nishi-Shinjuku during school and the initial culture shock/amusement wore off VERY quickly. While I have a Japanese boss, I feel very fortunate that I am with a smaller office. No nomunication, minimum of weird Japanese office rules and not a part of the salaryman Borg.

JLPT1 is the key IMHO. Wish it weren't true, but it seems to be.

  6. There are some dudes on sufu who teach English in Japan.

Won't name names though but do a search.

You could always become a famous DJ like DJ Bento.

Dude seems to be doing well for himself and has hot models around him all the time.

Can't really co-sign teaching English unless you can find a means to use it to get to JPN and get your visa and then drop it for something else that you find once you are in TKO.

Came to JPN on a work visa for my day job. DJing was just a hobby that sort of took off. Def not complaining :)

Next week djing Tokyo on Thursday, back to work in Osaka on Friday AM and then playing Shanghai on Saturday night.

  7. throwing a party tonight at the new club OWL which is in Umeda underneath the Hep 5 Building.

party is over at 1 AM thanks to the police crackdown but should be pretty fun from 10 to 1.

expecting a slew of gaijin models if that is any incentive ;)

    email for guest list.

  8. Thnx, will definitely look into that. Are you djing somewhere any time soon?

May 24th in Roppongi with Kat Deluna as the live guest. Should be cool.

Hit me up for guest list and i:ll gladly sort it out. All Superfuturians always welcome.

  9. I'm looking for a club or a place with some techno parties, do you guys recommend anything?

btw. Bentobox, I went to velours just now and I saw your stickers next to the staircase leading to the club, some good promoting ;)

    Ha, thanks man.

As for Techno, let me ask around. My first thought is to check out spots like Womb, Air, Eleven, and Sound Vision to see what they have coming through.

  10. Just a quick word of caution re: following along with the main Crossfit site. Make sure you have someone help you out with your form before you start going crazy with all the Olympic style moves. I didn't and while I was loving Crossfit for the first 3/4 months, I ended up hurting myself and having to take considerable time off from the gym. Sucked.

  11. Here's an official article regarding the accident:

    http://www.yomiuri.c...-OYT1T00449.htm

looks like the alcohol spilled on the table, spreading the fire and catching the guys on fire.

    so messed up.

I was drinking w/ him last Monday too :(

wow, this is quite unfortunate. note to self, no more flaming shots.

feeling that list of restaurants. thanks spoona.

while i definitely like the upscale sushi places, is it wrong that i love tskiji honten in shibuya so much? can never get enough maguro steaky when i:m in the area.

  12. Different group. Currently they own Jumanji55 and Greenland. Prior clubs they owned included a spot called Copacabana which was apparently a while back. NP is supposed to be more upscale than the other two clubs and the owner was telling me about huge multi touch screens in all the VIP rooms. Will see it for the first time on Friday :) You around town?

  13. my lower back is super stiff after this last month or so of going hard. If i lay down or sit down for a short amount of time and get up I have to walk hunched over like an old man for a little while. once it loosens up its not bad but still tender. trying to stretch as much as possible but not getting any better. im thinking i should take some time off, but the work im putting in right now feels great.

This book and a tennis ball saved my life after I hurt my lower back overdoing it with Crossfit.

    Highly recommended.
