  1. I was at work in downtown l.a. 7th floor of a building. Building was rolling like crazy. Booked it down the stair well.

Only positive - I was in the fashion district so all the little girlies were runnin' the streets right after.

  2. I have never heard so many referee conspiracy theories up until this series. I guess it doesn't help that I live in L.A. and the Lakers are losing the series. I really don't want to see the damn parade in l.a. so Boston better take this tonight.

Doc Rivers better not screw this up for me. Just play House if Rondo's ankle still doesn't look good. OR, play Cassell a little bit, just as long as he doesn't get trigger happy (unless he's making the shots).

  3. Even though the Lakers won game 3, it doesn't look too promising for them. The Celtics big 2 had a horrible game, and it was still close through out and Boston even took the lead in the 3rd quarter.

I'm glad Ray Allen has been stepping up. Ever since late in the Detroit series, he's been playing pretty well. I'm crossing my fingers for Rondo's ankle. Sadly enough, I think the worst player/personnel on the Celtics is Mr. Rivers. He kills me with his horrible substitutions or lack their of.

  4. Leon Powe killed it. Kobe still missed a handful of "bunnies" that he normally makes (just like in game 1). Pau had a solid game.

While the officiating wasn't that great, it does not constitute the Lakers not playing defense. You don't get a 20+ lead w/ strictly bad officitating.

I think Boston became too comfortable in the 4th and are extremely lucky they came out with a win. Hopefully that will be a learning experience for them.

I'm excited for game 4. That game is going to be HUGE. I have a feeling game 3 will be a blow out with the lakers on top.

  5. Nice T shirt.

I'm getting an l.a. t shirt custom made w/ the old lakers logo on it.

But instead of saying LAKERS. I had the "L" replaced w/ an "R" and the "K" replaced w/ a "P" (Kobe inspired)

  6. I hope the Boston Dr.'s didn't pump Pierce full adrenaline just to finish the game, because Pierce will be screwed the rest of the series.

If the Lakers take the series, it will be because Paul's knee wasn't 100%.

P.S. - I fuckin hate the stupid laker flags on cars!! die flags!

  7. Paul Pierce was on some hero type shit. Lucky for the Celtics Pierce came back because K.G. was struggling in the 4th quarter. Ray Allen had a respectable game with 19 pts.

Kobe did miss a few shots that he usually makes, but I think the Celtics defense had something to do with that. While no one in the league can stop Bryant, Allen did a decent job at contesting his shots and the entire Celtics team did a good job in not letting him get into the paint.

  8. Lakers vs Celtics (if it happens) will be a series of role players. We all know Kobe, KG and Pierce will be nothing short of excellent. It's going to come down to Ray Allen stepping up for the Celtics. Maybe the pressure is getting to Ray Allen. I'm not sure if he's ever made it to the conference finals in his career.

The Lakers need Odom and/or Fisher to step up as well. They both have the abilities to have huge games, but rarely do so.

Also, did anyone catch big baby perkins tearing it up on the boards in game 5 vs the pistons? He could be the X factor if the celtics make it to the finals.

  9. Parker creates his own shots. The majority of Parker's shots are one on one drives to the basket. Parkers doesn't NEED Duncan for that. He doesn't need Tim Duncan to personally excel, but of course, Duncan is a vital asset to the Spurs.

Rondo kinda reminds me of Parker when he first came into the league. Great playmaker w/ assists and drives to the basket, but lacks an outside shot. Parker is by no means a threat as an outside shooter, but his mid range game is definitely better than when he first came into the NBA.

  10. I'm hoping to see a Lakers and Celtics final. And I'm really hoping/praying that Ray Allen can step up in the finals (much like he did in game 5 vs. detroit) because if he doesn't, Lakers will run away with the championship.

  11. Looking at the play over and over again, Fish definitely fouled Barry. I don't think anyone can really question that, BUT the fact that this was a game ending shot plays a key factor in the ref's no call. Barry should have sold the foul to the ref's.

If this was a play that happend in the first quarter, the ref's would have probably called a foul.

P.S. - Manu Ginobli is the most hated player in the NBA.

  12. I know people get away with stuff a lot, but the way he was grabbing and holding jerseys on guys coming across screens was pretty ridiculous last night. He was also throwing some pretty cheap hand checks on guys coming off screens. And what was with that elbow to KG's face in game 1? That's just dirty. I got no respect for that guy.

You know who gets away with a lot? Manu freakin Ginobli! Not sure if anybody else notices, but he flails his arms every time he drives into the lane, hoping he'll get a foul call. Or he'll just plain old flop (vlade divac steez). On defense, he grabs, hold, bites, etc... I know a lot of players do their fair share of some of these things, but Ginobli seems to take it to the next level, and the ref's seem blind to it. Manu plays like he's on a damn soccer field.
