i understand your logic w/ saying that the hornets took them to 6 games so Dallas has a really good shot at beating la, but it really doesn't work that way. remember back like 2-3 years ago when the houston rockets took the lakers to game 7 in the second round w/o tracy mcgrady. yao might have been out too, i don't remember. lakers went on to win the championship that year.

looking way ahead but i'm ready for a thunder / lakers rematch. that series woud not disappoint.

while i think the blazers would make for a more exciting series against the lakers, i think dallas has a more legit shot against la. although i really don't think either team can beat la in a 7 game series. especially w/o home court advantage.

NBA also should revisit how the in the act of shooting fouls are called. if you get fouled and are not in the act of shooting, you should not get to go to the free throw line. just because you hear a ref's whistle and decide to throw the ball up and pretend like you're shooting is not the same thing.

manu plays basketball unlike any other player i've seen. it's hard to describe but it's like he purposefully almost falls down or almost trips everytime he kinda gets touched. i know a lot of players try and sell a foul, but manu does it when there's not even contact sometimes. nothing but hate for manu.

spurs are playing like suckers right now. one more quarter left and san antonio down by 13. really shocked at how out of sync the spurs look. they act like they haven't ever played with one another before. spurs lose this game and the series is basically over.

might see a grizzlies / thunder 2nd round.

lakers are notorious for having drawn out 1st round series'. last year w/ okc went 6 i believe. and they had a 7 game series w/ the rockets 2-3 years back.

think the hawks will win the series. not sure how much of an upset it will be though. i know orlando is the better seed, but didn't atl win all 4 games in the regular season? and richardson is out the next game, doesn't look promising for the magic.

still undecided on the spurs/grizzlies series. can't believe they made such a rookie mistake in the last posession of game 3. spurs usually execute on a consistent basis better than any other team in the league. game 4 should be wild.

dang, spurs looking pretty weak in the first round after 2 games. grizzlies definitely didn't lose that game, spurs had to beat them.

i hope i'm wrong because i'm a fan of the celtics. in any case, i'm stoaked on these playoffs. there's 5-6 teams that have a legitimate shot at winning it all this year. as long as the lakers lose, i'll be happy. i can't take another laker parade.

even though the celtics won game 2, they have to be somewhat concerned. Billups was out the entire game and Stoudemire out in the 3rd - still they barely pull out a win. yikes. assuming boston gets passed NY, i don't see them going further than the 2nd round.

Jumping ahead, MIA and Chicago should make for a good Eastern Finals.
