  1. It used to be

    look/style/cool

    quality

    fit

    brand

then I bought something that didn't really fit me and couldn't return it (supreme), and am having trouble selling it.

    Now it's definitely:

    fit

    quality

color matches wardrobe at least sort of

brand (this is basically tied to quality for me since but, for example, Patagonia knowing it will be the highest quality)

Quality is what got me interested in all that Japanese repro stuff, and then that led to being more interested in clothes in general.

  2. Those threads come loose all the time...

Just cut the loose part off - no sense in replacing them this early on...

Do you guys put your hands in your pockets a lot or anything? I have had my 3001s since June and the pocket stiching looks fine. I try to wear a jacket with everything so I can put my keys in there.

  3. how are the fits on their hoodies generally? Some of their cut and sew are on the smaller side, so I wanted to know.

I have a medium and large parental advisory hoody from last season. I would imagine that other cuts are similar but the following comments refer only to this one model specifically.

Sleeves are slimmer than a lot of other brands, they don't have the super wide/baggy feel which a lot of sweatshirts have.

Hood is medium deep. It doesn't sit on the back of your head but also doesn't go way past the front of your face. On my moderately large head (I wear a 7 3/4 baseball hat) the edge of the hood is just behind my nose when I put it all the way up.

Body is on the slightly baggy side. I wear 32 pants and the bottom when zipped is a little fitted to my waist on the medium and is loose with the large.

Sleeve length though is decently shorter than a lot of brands out there. I haven't taken measurements on mine, but the large is barely long enough for me when mediums are frequently OK.

All in all I like the cut. The slim-ish sleeves look good. Only complaint is sleeves are short on me (I am tall though).

I don't even wear the medium, it's new with tags and I received it as a gift. I haven't put it in supermarket yet but..

Hope this was helpful. Good luck.

  4. I'm going with a couple people from real life already. Sorry about that.

Feel free to compliment me on my flat heads if you spot me.

Have a good time. Should be fun.

Tickets are still available if other people are interested. I am surprised it hasn't sold out yet since the other show went pretty quickly I think.

  5. I was in Cleveland this weekend and walked into Heart and Sole while getting dinner on Coventry. It is a new sneaker store which opened up just a couple weeks ago. Super nice guys who own the place. They seem really dedicated. This will be the place to go for sneakerheads in the Cleveland area once they get established with the brands and can pick up all the limited run stuff.

Couldn't find a website but looks like they do have a myspace

  6. Can't wait to try on that jacket. I hope some are still around when I am back in the bay area in December..

I remember hearing that the first Buzz Rickson run of Gibson MA-1s had some tall sizes. Will this be true for the LB-2 as well?

One more question: is there a rought price for this yet?

    Those pictures look great.

  7. Damn, I'm around 6'1" and have fairly long arms too. It sucks living in Florida and not being able to try this stuff on before buying.

I am around six three (honestly not really sure, I haven't had a physical recently) and bought a large stained glass tee and the arms don't fit me.

I am actually trying to sell it in supermarket and took measurements if you want to look. I can't say how similar sleeve length will be between baseball cuts and flannels or button ups though. I hope it works out.

Seriously, they should make tall sizes. And smalls. And they should smile more.

  8. I don't know if this is an issue for you, My Name, but I find that the sleeves on a lot of Supreme stuff is kind of short. I don't mind if the chest is somewhat tight, but I won't wear something if the sleeves are too short.

  9. It is probably impratical for you to do this or you would have already, but if you can get to Self Edge and try stuff on in store while talking to someone there that would probably be the best possible scenario.

Otherwise try taking measurements on the 511 and 514 and looking at sizing charts for something similar.

    Good luck.

It will be worth it to order from somewhere with a good exchange policy if you end up not being super sure when you buy.

  10. I know what you mean though.

I want to get some knew jeans, different denim, different cuts, but at the same time I have so much great wear left in my current pair.

Oh well. I am young. The biggest problem is when I faced with limited edition stuff.

  11. Probably something to do with there return policy.

Yeah, this makes sense. In Japan returns are pretty much never allowed, even in a lot of major department stores and stuff.

Or at least that is how I remember it a few years ago when I was there. Things may have become more Americanized since then. I remember credit cards were starting to get slightly more popular, for example.

  12. What is a good place to get tracksuits? I check in adidas stores sometimes if I am walking by, but with one exception (I bought that one) they are either really boring blacks and blues, have writing on them or whatever. And sometimes I find something cool in a store but they only stock the jacket.

Any other companies that make good tracksuits apart from Adidas? It doesn't get much more classic (AKA classy as hell) than the three stripes. I want to get a closet full of them. Mix and match, son.

  13. Yeah, I'll be seeing Girl Talk as well. It is sort of messed up that they are playing again after the webster hall show, since of course the Bowery one will be way better and everyone who bought tickets weeks ago gets the shaft.

Whatever. I had been looking at craigslist everyday for a week and was about to pay fifty dollars for a ticket, but instead bought one for fifteen last night.

  14. Silent Alarm was excellent but when I listen to Weekend it just feels as though there is such an absence of soul and emotion in the entire record.

I saw them a while ago and it was ok, but they didn't have half as much on stage energy as I would have expected. I'd go again, but only if the venue was decent.

  15. Anyone else enjoy reading the 'horror' stories at the hypebeast forums? One guy actually took his mom to defend him...

I went over there and think I found what you were talking about. Pretty funy though. Moms rule.

I feel like such a sell out going there when they do stuff like this. Worse, my girlfriend says they were mean to her when she went to the LA location once.

Whatever, the only thing I liked from this season (stained glass) doesn't even fit me since I'm too tall for it. I'll work on finding some self-esteem by S/S 08.

  16. I saw Talib last night and it ruled.

From some comments in this thread his new album is not too good, or what? Live he had everything going; smooth, intelligent, funny, confident. And real nice Nike high tops.

What albums should I check out? I have heard the black star album with Mos Def, but that's about it.
