  1. Jil Sander for sale.

    I use paypal.

    1. Jil Sander dark grey wool pants, sz 52 - $150 -> $135 -> SOLD

Basically NWOT, worn once. Very soft wool that falls beautifully. Hemmed but, as picures indicate, there's some to let out. I'd say they fit slimmer than tagged size. Tapered leg, perfectly slim silhouette. Button fly, hook & button closure.

    waist: 17.5"

    front rise: 11"

    outseam length: 39.4"

    hem: 7.5"

WHAT: It is a barber shop and gangsta rap shop. you are kicking yourself for not already being there. He specializes in Dirty South, did so before the South was cool.

HOW: anyway, if you go past the maps-and-porn store ON

SHINJUKU-DORI, you will come to an AM/PM. turn left there and walk like 12 minutes in a straight line. . the barber should be on the right.

Somet 005, low rise straight fit black, size 33 -

    $175 -> SOLD

Purchased this lovely pair at the Somet store in Aoyama, Tokyo, but they are just sitting in my closet. Love them, just don't wear jeans that much at the moment. Worn for less than 10 times, so basically in new condition. Minor creasing as you can see from the pictures, nothing's set though - and these takes time to fade so nothing like that either. Great jeans. Fit slightly bigger than tagged, like Somet's do, plus these are stretched out in the waist. They don't stretch a whole lot so they will most likely not stretch any more in the waist, but they will probably shrink a bit once soaked/washed. I'd say these fit a 34 comfortably, or possibly a 35. Understand that these will be worn on the hips because of the rise, so don't be too fooled by the measurements.

Fantastic cut, some of the best detailing I've personally seen. Gold plated rivets, hidden rivets. Reversed fly placket with donut buttons. 14.5oz denim. White weft, white patch. Half lined back pockets.

    Sanforized.

    My measurements (BiG style)

    waist: 17.7"

    front rise: 10"

    back rise: 14.2"

thigh (upper thigh, BiG style): 13"

    knee: 9"

    hem: 8.3"

    inseam: 35.5"

Retails for $275 + shipping from BiG.

  4. july 10-19 I believe.

What's the museum situation like? How's the collection at the museum of contemporary art?

Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo is doing an exhibition on Hussein Chalayan until June 20th.

    "From Fashion And Back" (ファッションにはじまり、そしてファッションへ戻る旅)

    http://www.mot-art-museum.jp/eng/2010/hussein/

I never had any real experience with Hussein's output (except for a few garments I've seen in stores) so this was really fascinating for me, and an eye-opener on just how conceptual his collections are/have been. Highly recommended.

  5. really? is that only for foreigners?

Usually NEX from NRT to shinagawa is 3110 yen.

If you get a suica & NEX combo for 3000 yen, that's a great deal.

These days I use my suica like a credit card. I try to use my suica for getting shit at convenience stores..

nah, don't think so. I didn't do this myself (always a peasant 2 hours kakueki train to nippori concept), but my friend claimed to have done something like this. and he was there on a proper visa, not a tourist thing. def a good deal. i paid almost 3500 from kichijoji to narita.

  6. keeping within the metro and minimum switching to jr is the key to contain travel costs. metro is fucking amazing and very cheap compared to jr and, to some extent, keio.

definitely get a pasmo or suica, first day. one of my favorite things in tokyo. plus, you don't have to fiddle with coins to get on that pocari sweat tip when you're down in some hot subway station. i think you can get some sort of NEX (narita express) + suica deal at narita, where you pay 3000 and you get a nex ticket and a suica charged with a 1000 yen. or, so i heard.

edit: lol, for some reason I missed the post above. anyway, go for the package deal.

  9. There is a hairdresser just minutes from meiji dori / omotesando dori crossing called Dude. Very nice guy. Also, not only does he speak perfect english but he apparently learned the trade in London so he actually prefers to cut westerners (generally) thinner hair instead of thicker japanese hair.

  10. 多摩湖

Nooooo I didn't. I can't believe I didn't buy one immediately. There is a ticket selling/exchange post in the Antony community on mixi, but I haven't had luck so far. Most people seem to just be looking to exchange their tickets for the other night.

yeah, i'm not sure why I waited this long either. i'm not on mixi (maybe i should be?) but if you happen to stumble across more tickets than you need, please let me know!

any other good shows in the near future you know about? besides checking certain specific labels, i only use tokyo gig guide for info. Do you know of any better, or just different, site?
