  1. ^Thank You! Does anyone also know by any chance where to get that black snap scraf and some gray runway sleeves? I can't find them. It seems like every place is out of them.

the runway sleeves are literally two piecs of cloth (some are wool i believe) stiched/knitted together. the newest ones don't even have finger/thumb holes.

  2. I did not even see it on luisaviaroma.com and what type of place would make a jacket that looks like this?

go to a real tailor. bring in photo. ask if they can make this. if they say no, ask if they know someone who does that type of work. ask that person, keep going until you find someone if you want the jacket bad enough.

  3. basically every japanese brand and slim to no us brands. but you do live in nyc, so you could probably find something at barney's etc. as much as i don't care for ordering internationally, there is a korean site in english that does ship (dior styled blazers) to the us. there is a thread about this shop:

    http://www.yesstyle.com

i haven't ordered from them yet but others have posted good things.

  4. Yo. Read the fucking thread. There are tons of jackets NOT from Japan. And just because the thread is from a year ago doesn't mean that the jackets aren't available now. It's still relevant.

the link which i read, happens to include mostly japanese brands like lad musician, diet butcher, ISAMUKATAYAMA, wjk, etc.

i was hoping to find some new jackets which are somewhat more available in the us. it really doesnt matter if some are still available since, they are not readily available in the us so im not interested thus it is irrelevant.

  5. I have been scouring local stores and the internet looking for a tight fitting biker jacket. I really liked the look of the april77 Kennedy Distortion ones from last season but don't care for the newer colors (haven't seen new ones in stock online either). Not to mention their distribution is fairly limited on jackets. Does anyone know of another company that makes tight fitting biker jackets. All of the "classic" ones that I have tried on at leather stores fit really wide and boxy. I'm looking for slim/tight and not japan only please.

  6. I wear jeans 24/7..

I get all flustered when i have to go to an event that won't allow jeans.

Shit, i'm getting married in two weeks and i'm wearing a custom tailored Flat Head 3XXX full denim suit.

    I'll die in denim.

    that's beyond epic.

  8. anyone have suggestions on peacoats that are much more affordable and look good? the kind of "stylin' on a budget" coats? below 300 is pretty much my budget until i graduate and blaah..

Yeah that was the original intent of the thread i stated less expensive short peacoats but, i honestly don't believe that many (or just about any) exist in this style in the US yet. Im guessing that around this time next year some domestic brands may have caught on. The only reason why i say this is because i was really into skinny jeans just about a year before they caught on in the usa and well now you can get skinny jeans at jcpenneys.

With $300 you could buy a real army peacoat from an army navy store for around $130 and then spend the rest of your budget into altering it into whatever short fit you want.

I have one that im seriously thinking about doing this to. Doing so would actually allow for the tightest fit possible since the coat would be pinned first. Knowing this also increases my waryness of buying without trying on, i would hate to spend $500+ just for it not to end up fitting as I like then haveing to drop more money on alterations.

  9. for you other poor thrifty folks...i'd reccomend finding a cheap department store womens coat....tried on a S womens pea coat at nordstrom rack the other day, it was only 80 bucks and fit just above the waist and sleeves hit just above the wrist..

women's coats button and zip on opposite side of men's coats. this is the only downfall and tell-tale sign that a man is wearing a girls jacket. i do not think i will easily cross this thin line....

  10. I know that a few short peacoats examples have been posted in some other fall jacket threads but I'm looking to purchase one for fall and have only seen a few such as:

    0221.JPG

Are there any other brands that make a similarly styled coat that are less expensive (preferrably not Japan only)? Style wise meaning short peacoat like.

I have searched other superfuture threads as well as many online shops looking for one. I found a ladmusician one that was nice but not in my size (also read that the webshop wont send to US) also that giuliano fujiwara is sick as well but sold out and expensive.

I already have a regular length peacoat but im really liking the short styled ones that I have been seeing on here. I greatly appreciate any help.

    Thanks
