he's been on so-called "holidays" for several months now, i'm not even sure the artisanal line is still designed by him.
imo, he's doing the same thing Helmut Lang and Jil Sander did after their houses were bought by Prada.
He just does not fit in the commercial scheme established by the Diesel group.

so Dior should abandon their largest ever consumer base, because KVA just so happens to neglect them with his designs that echo everybody else on the circuit?
business is business, i would have thought LVMH of all groups would be well aware of that...
as for KVA's power, he has position, he has resources, so he shouldn't evade his dependencies..
he's shaken an incredibly successful line to its roots & re-planted it with poison, time for him to go.
but what do you call the "largest consumer base"?
Dior Homme has never sold so well, every cool kid has a pair of jeans and sneakers. It's just targeted at younger consumers than before, but it's certainly as successful as before, if not more.

because KVA sells to a different form of client to what Hedi built for Dior Homme...
well-born teenagers? so what? it's an industry, and a client is a client.
I don't think KVA has much power at Dior.

because his designs sell well, why would LVMH remove him?

They say the third strike hits it, but not in this case. Consider FW09 the final nail in the coffin. Dior Homme is dead.
RIP
lol Dior Homme died after 2004 anyway, when Pete Doherty became some sort of style icon. so shut up, this collection is really not bad (and KVA's smartest so far)

don't laugh. the world needed higher-priced boring DSquared copies.

ahem. dunno what to think about it. the coats look great, as well as the boots.

even if it's not one of the best Dior collections, this is by far KVA's most achieved. At least it has a coherence the former ones lacked.
the coats are really fine .

No, they look like shit. If you look @ the runway pictures, they're tight, not slouchy or baggy.

they carry a few sz46 sometimes.
otherwise, they run true to size.
