  1. jimmy valentines is supposed to be really pretty good ive got a friend that spins there pretty regularly now, i havent been though since i havent been in dc since november.

    you talking about jake??

  2. I may be back in DC soon.

Can anyone provide some current "ballpark" information on monthly costs of renting a one-bedroom apartment around 14th Street (P-Street to U-Street) and 16th Street (P Street to U-Street to Mt. Pleasant) ?

right now you're looking somewhere between 1k-2k a month at least. plus utils.

  3. sleazie, I think you'll be fine as long as you're kinda dressed up. Lavinz and diors won't hold you back--just no jerseys or err force ones.

I'm with joey_formal, though, DC lounges are lame (ESL aside maybe). They play similar music at Local 16 and Marvin, and they're more laid back, at least on weekends. Other lounges are bottle service-type places.

The H st places like r'n'r are cool, but a little less metro accessible and in a crappier (but not terrible) neighborhood.

If you're thinking of going out tonight, keep in mind it's st patrick's day...

local 16 and marvin are decent from what i've heard, those places actually still ARE owned by TheCorp dudes. asylum and napoleon in adams morgan are chill, and personally i'm not the biggest fan of wonderland in columbia heights. my fave bar of the moment is probably jimmy valentine's.

  4. dont go to esl, go to rock & roll hotel or palace of wonders. palace is fucking great sideshow style shit, not too mention they have a weekly womens only armwrestling night haha

+1 esl is shit ever since TheCorp stopped owning it. adams morgan is meh, i prefer the fledgling bar scene in NE d.c.

redeem is also getting new stuff, i know for a fact some b.son is on its way, they also carry stuff by the brigade dudes, wrath arcane? i believe. district line also just received their spring shit.

  5. Going to see the pillows. They've been a favorite band of mine ever since I was an animu-loving middle-schooler, and even though I'm 21 and in college now I still keep up with all their singles and album releases. They're probably my favorite band hands down and they tour the US infrequently and without warning.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I'll be looking into your suggestions.

shut the fuck up! they're coming back to NYC?!

i saw them there when they played the knitting factory and it was effing GRAND.

  6. Creative Recreation Roccos Size 8 Reminiscent of the Vans Authentics but run a bit smaller than I thought they would. A shame, they're awesome shoes. 20 dollars. 30 shipped to continental US

Nike Dunk High Size 9 Nike Dunk Highs in a rather bright lime green colorway. Some scuffs and stuff but otherwise pretty good condition, still have the box. They're pretty rockin. 20 bucks, 30 shipped to continental US.

Nike Dunkesto Size 8 Nike Dunkestos in Size 8, colorway is black/grey suede/bronzeish with highlighter yellow accents. Really comfortable shoes, I just have too many Nikes and hardly wear any these days. Holding on to my Vandals for sentimental purposes but these I really can't see myself wearing much anymore. Still they're quality shoes, interesting combination of breathable material and suede with the Dunk silhouette. 20 bucks, 30 shipped to continental US

  7. Okay, first off I know my post count is low because I really haven't posted a lot on SuFu but these days I'm trying to be a more active member of the forum, if you have any questions please ask. I have a 100% feedback rating on eBay (user: asiatek) so I am not trying to make a sucker out of anybody, I mean come on, look at how cheap I'm selling a lot of this stuff. This is me just trying to make a few extra bucks on the side. Thanks!

All these clothes have been worn, but I'm cleaning out my closet and want you to reap the benefits. Cheap prices, if you're in/near D.C. we could do meetups; I live fairly close to Chinatown, and my roommates and I are pretty friendly.

Feel free to stop by if you want to see some of the stuff, and/or have a beer. Depending on my schedule that might work for the better. Just don't ask me to take any WAYWT pictures or anything.

Paypal/cash. Meetups avoid shipping costs. Shipping costs vary item to item depending on the weight. Me: 5'8, 145 lbs.
