  1. I would have thought there would be a huge difference between MF and 35mm mainly due to DOF? Anyway how much do you guys spend on film and developing per year? I've been wanting to get into it but it seems like its going to cost a lot of money.

  2. I'm looking at improving my photography skills... My family has a Canon Rebel T3i that no one really uses, and I just wanted to be able to take better shots when we go on vacation trips... I bought a 50mm lens this summer to mess around with it but never got around to feeling comfortable enough with the camera, so I put it down and never got to pick it up again. Do you guys have any advice besides going out there and taking more pictures?

I agree with the tips people have said, they're very helpful and in one way or another I'm sure almost every photographer goes through this phase at the start. What kind of pictures do you like and do you have any favourite photographers? After learning the basics you may want to look into their work and critique them as a learning exercise. The more you study photographs the more things will make sense and because its such a broad genre there's endless possibilities of what you want to pursuit. If you provide a few examples of the pictures you like we may be able to provide you a more detailed direction. Obviously everyone will have different preferences so it will be up to you to choose which one suits your needs best. Good luck :)!

  3. thanks...those are some amazing pics imo!

also i can't wait until winter is over so i can start hiking again :)

Cheers mate, enjoy your hikes. You guys have some real amazing places there in Germany. I'm stuck in boring old Brisbane

  4. good work everyone!

haven't posted in a whiiiiile because my photo taking has been severely lacking. I have been traveling in South America for the summer and I am realizing just how hard it is to travel with a heavy DSLR and even heavier lenses. Any suggestions on a lighter/more street friendly camera? I also have a Leica D Lux 4, but something about it is lacking. The colors do not come out nearly as nice as from a full frame DSLR.

  5. Super nice design, material and craftmanship ! Congrats

    Thanks Joey!

Here's something I've been working on, its a prototype of a wallet/clutch I'm going to make for a birthday present. I got impatient waiting for my 2-3oz leather to arrive so this one is made using 4oz leather which wasn't a very good idea but I'm glad it didn't turn to a disaster. I didn't really try to get into the fine details for the wallet as its just a trial run but I'll post an update when I make one out of the 2-3oz leather. The zipper is the YKK organic cotton so I'm going to dye it to her fav color. Its meant to be a minimalistic design so I avoided stitching outside besides the one around its perimiter. There's 6 card slots, a coin compartment, a note compartment and room to put an iphone or other stuff inbetween the two sides

  6. Details on the belt please :D

I made it myself a while back. Bought 3 strips of vege tan cowhide for $20 and used a rivet to hold the belt buckle in place.

^XEnvy very nice fit, wish I was around when those SEXI came out :(

  7. probably the best jeans/belt/patch colour combination I've seen in a long while. would love to have jeans faded to that colour

Thanks mate :), I promised myself that I wont wash these so I'll post another update in a few years or so. Its just too bad I cant wear em everyday like I used to in uni.

  8. This is prob gross to some but here's mine after about 4 years no wash. I wore it a lot during the first 2 years, theres prob a pic in this thread somewhere that I posted years ago when I first got it. Im glad its not smelly and I know this is pretty poor effort for 4 years compared to what some of you guys can do in one so props to the hardcores :P.
