It is a long shot, but if anyone is sitting on a pair of the test lot in 31 or maybe 32, but is leaning towards the new Cone White Oak Memorial denim, I would gladly pay up to the $245 for an unsoaked pair, or pay a fair price with soaked/minimal wear as well.

I thnk a dude on instagram is , ughh, ready to help you out bruh.

  2. Thanks for the sizing help gents !

They look great. What can you speak to as far as construction and general feel.. FEEL of the shoe ? What would you say to a guy who can't come out and hold them in his hands ? Construction , etc -- I appreciate it

  3. Haven't posted here In ages but got an email from standard and strange about them getting in some of the Lofgren sneaker and was kind of curious for those who've had experience with them if they're similar to a vintage converse or the newer PF made in USA jobbies ?

  4. for folks looking for faded examples, a lot of folks who own 'OG's' said the stuff that was 'expurgated' and later participated in the contest 5 years ago, and own subsequent releases have posted pictures on instagram -

Also quite a few folks that own Roys post here and also over on denimbro.

There's quite a few very nice examples of faded jeans  from the likes of roy6,myself, katz, and other folks you'd recognize

received mine in the mail yesterday - here are some pre-soak pics.  Wore them to work today, should have some post soak pics tomorrow or in the next few days.

Couldn't be more pleased with these - The details are amazing, the fit is too, can't wait to see how these mature.

  6. yeah those Vans are the bomb, just wish they make them here would def pay more.

Yes, I would definitely pay more. I also wish they'd make the Era in that same style - I like the slightly tighter fit around the ankle.

A friend told me that a lot of the machinery for sneakers to be made in America just doesn't physically exist any more, and that's why there aren't more startups designing made in the USA canvas sneakers (think Chucks and the like).

^seriously hope someone changes that. Its very frustrating having to settle on either new balances or some sweat shop made shit.

agreed. ive always wanted a made in the usa pair. they only switched manufacturing out of the states sometime in the 90s.

theres a guy online hocking deadstock pairs which were USA made. they run a little pricey but I think its worth it. Some of the old designs are wicked too.

When I was out in CA for inspiraiton! I talked to the guys from PF Flyers who confirmed that a domestic made version of their shoe will be made in Fall '14.

The problem for a shoe like vans is that the soles are (or atleast were) vulcanized rubber.  Due to EPA regulation you can no longer vulcanize shoe rubber.  If you'll notice modern Converse and Vans soles are not vulcanized, and essentially composite rubber.  With all the cool developments some brands are making with converse clones it's only a matter of time before someone does small batch kiln fired 'vulcanized' rubber shoes ala shoes like pottery et cetera.

REALLY KICKING MYSELF FOR SKIPPING OUT ON THIS CONTEST - Got a text from pepper telling me to get in or else I'd regret it, and damn if he wasn't right! I have a pair of greasers and the indigo tee I've been focussing on (updates to come)  But still its Looking like a ton of fun so far, can't wait to see more updates.  The Chicago update was killer - and I am sure as it progresses there will be even more cool stuff coming out of the twin cities.

Folks were talking about super heroes a few pages back -- in my head I've always pictured Left Field outfitting a prison baseball team.  I don't know if they still do prison baseball -- but anyhow.

Keep doing all the cool shit you guys are doing -- those tube tees are awesome looking.

So, it was super duper rad to meet Roy and Molly at Inspiration.  Got the chance to talk with them.  Just the best people, honestly.

Dkatz did me a solid and dropped my pair of OG Roys off at SESF for repairs.  Really pleased with how they turned out, the turn-time and price are amazing!

the top button had fallen out, so they put new 'denim' there and a new top button.

they reinforced the crotch, and then no photos but they fixed up the hem from where grass and crap had made a hole.

Seriously the best $ i've spent in a long time, it's like I've got a brand new pair of jeans.
