not a big fan of that fit, can't lie
I've never been a fan of the Thin Finn... Can't really say that I've ever seen it look good.

Some great looking jeans here... I really like the black acrylic arcs, and the fading on Seagrams is quite nice.
As to Kohls, they sell the STFs on-line, I believe, but not in stores.

My understanding is that it doesn't matter too much if you soak for more than about 30-45 minutes. Virtually all of the shrinkage is taken care of in that time. That was definitely the case for my Oni's, which I soaked for 30 min, adding hot water every 10 min or so. Wearing them while damp just makes it easier to stretch the waist back out, if that's needed, and can make it easier to set some creases.

hmm sounds pretty cool i saw some 34x38 stfs the other day and thought about buying just because i never see that length of inseam so often on stfs...maybe i should get em and join.
The more the merrier. One of the contestants apparently works at a Levi's store, and is talking to the manager about the possibility of getting some prizes to go along with it.

Thanks hamburga, I was just thinking of posting that...

I agree. APC is a great starter denim, and it's even a great denim if all you care about is the cut, because they have that box-shaped waist/hip/thigh area that few other cuts share.
I only have limited experience with them (rescues at about 1 week), but I'd say that if you're interested at all in cut, this is a reason not to get them. If you have anything resembling an ass, you have to get a size that's crushing on the hips just to not have inches of extra denim around the waist.

I have a 33 tagged, and the inseam was either 36" or 36.5" when new.

RHT is what Levi's became famus using. LHT is what Lee used. They look a little difference, and from what I gather the LHT will generally be a little softer, and not crease quite as sharply as RHT. It generally refers to the direction that the fabric was woven. Just FYI, there's also broken twill, which Wrangler generally uses, which is supposed to be tougher to fade, and more resistant to tearing.
Slubby denim is denim that has very irregular threads in the weave. Check the pictures in the "BS United Oni" thread to see how that looks as it fades.

I think they look great. And you can walk around with that dirty look, but still actually be wearing something clean...

Eternal 811 (slightly slimmer at knee and hem)
Oni Blue (slightly slimmer hem)
Samurai 5000 (many different models with this cut)
Sugar Cane Union Star
Sugar Cane Okinawa
I'm tired of looking. Just check the measurment charts on BiG.

I think they look like a great fit in your last couple of pics. I'm not one for skin-tight though.

probably tobi25% off all non-sale items: tobifaf2
That code should still work.
If it does not work, then the second best code that I know of is for denimbar: "style4um" which is for 20% off.
Tobi code doesn't work... I just tried it. However, there is one for 10% off your order. "10GRECHEN".

Very nice CMs. Some of the best that I've seen.

just imagine the fades on those if you had a wallet in every pocket. baller status
Hehe, a giant Red Moon in every pocket. That would be the only way of really topping the rediculousness, I think.
I'm not ripping on Red Moon, but it would be hilarioius to see one in every one of those pockets...

I'd like to sell the gift code that I have for www.tobi.com for $220 (it was $200 originally, I bought a couple of pairs of jeans to try which were $20 extra, and ended up returning both, so it's now $220 total). I'm asking $175, so you'd get an extra $45 for your trouble. Please PM me if you're interested.

A friend of my family works in the downtown real estate market of San Francisco and told me Levi's plans on moving out of SF once the lease is up.
That would definitely be a shame. However, if they've been in SF since the 1850's and never bought the property but just leased the entire time, then it's no surprise that it would happen eventually. I feel like they must have their own building, and perhaps it's just some offices relocating...?

I think it was over a year ago that they stopped producing the jeans with tabs, so you're not likely to find them any more.

Yes. Oni has only two cuts, red (loose) and blue (regular/slimmer). There are a few different variations of what's on the back pockets, but that's the basics of oni.

Do you not live anywhere near a uo?
I don't think that they have them in all locations. I looked for them, and asked the employees if they had them, and none of them had ever heard of the brand.

BlueOctoberFan, those are terrible.
This is how really done:
You pinch the whiskers and press odd lines into the calves?
