Here's a fit pic of the SDA sweat. Like I say, a little bigger than i'd ideally like but still perfectly wearable.
While I was at it, for a bit of whimsy & comparison i've taken a few pics of other sweats.
I've noticed how bad my posture is. If any of you are osteopaths/Chiropractics and want to give me free sessions, you're very welcome.
Maynard- I can imagine you're particularly good when it comes to the laying on of hands
Anyway- SDA. Size L
Hinoya. Size L. Bought new
Two Moon. Size L. Bought new
Real McCoy Ballpark. Size L. Bought 2nd hand. Either these come up tiny or someone must have boiled the fuck out of this to get it this small. Still very happy with the fit tho'
Unknown brand- size M. All I know about this is that it's made in S Korea. It's not loopwheeled but the fit & fabricis great. If anyone can hazard a guess on the brand i'd certainly be interested in getting another
Pherrows. Size L. Bought 2nd hand
Evisu Size M. Had this for years. Bought it 'new' off ebay but was never 100% sure if it was genuine or a fake. Great quality either way.
Duffer of St george. M. Again- had this for years and it's one of my all time faves. Getting a bit grubby these days
Topless pics available on request12 -
I waited but you never showed
Seems to have done the trick. Not quite the reduction I hoped for but certainly a keeper. The Hinoya on the other hand, has reduced down perfectly. Not bad for a 'budget' sweatshirt.
Fit pics will follow in due course.

You know where i'll be if you fancy getting a cheap thrill watching through the window

Gave mine a boiled water soak, and a hot wash last night. It's sitting by me, still damp, in a plastic bag ready for a lunch hour spent in the laundrette watching it- and a hinoya sweatshirt spin round together.
Stupidly I didn't measure it before I soaked it (megatron- perhaps you could measure yours?) , but if I take the sellers measurements as correct it' seems to have come down a little bit already.
Rock N roll

inverted, and somewhat balder & scrawnier. Although if you squint your eyes....

The one nearest my home has dryers that are pretty pathetic. I was toying with washing it at home tonight, spinning it in the machine and then bringing it in to work with me in the morning while it's still damp.
Can spend a nice lunch hour at the laundry next to American Classics.

Will give it a soak in boiling water and then a hot wash in the machine- should do the trick.
Sadly I don't have a dryer to complete the job.
If it doesn't work, it shouldn't be a struggle to get back what i paid.

Hmmm, p'raps you're right. Decisions decisions.

I got a large. I've not measured it myself yet, but it was listed as (and I quote)...
Pit to Pit = 24" (61cm)Length = 25.5" (65cm)Sleeve = 24" (61cm)Shoulder = 22.5" (57cm)If it shrank down around 5% i'd be a happy man.0 -
Megatron- the sweat arrived this morning. Not massive in it's current state but i'd certainly be happier if it shrank down a size.
Now- to boil wash or not to boil wash. That is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the strings & arrows of oversize sweatshirts....

Yep. Too good a price to miss out on.
I'm a fairly standard uk medium and have two moon and real McCoy sweats in large that fit well but they both measure smaller than the measurements he put up for the large sda.
If it shrinks 5% or so it should do me very nicely.

Was that a grey one in large off eBay? If so, I bought the blue one and am in the same boat as you. Due to land on Monday.
I was going to stick it in a very hot wash to try & bring it down by 5% or so, but if there's no point I may just sell it on in its unworn state.

Well, a decision was made to pass these on. While they're nice enough jeans, I don't really think there was anything 'special' about them. The denim was a bit too smooth & featureless for my liking. Luckily they exactly fitted the bill of a colleague who has taken them off my hands.
Instead I shall concentrate my efforts on breaking in some new Allevols, 2nd pair of Red Cloud R400, bit more work on my Sam 710's and possibly bring back into rotation some LVC 47 & 67's that haven't had much love yet.
Should keep me busy for a couple of years

Navy Studio d'artisan loopwheeled sweatshirt.
This has been hot washed and dried once from new with the aim of shrinking it a bit but it's still too large for me. I can't imagine this will have any further shrinkage.
Unworn
Great quality mid-heavy weight loopwheeled cotton. Double V (genuine, not over-sewn like Buzz's
