Hey everyone, I know there been tons of posts regarding sizing but which size would be the best for:

Alden Plaza Last: 9D

Brannock device size: 9D

Clarks DB: 9D

J.Crew DB: 8.5

I tried on the Red Wing 1907 (without its insole w/ dress socks in an 8.5D and it seemed fine, with enough room for me to wear thicker socks)

What size should I be getting for a Red Wing GT/Moc Toe? I had a 9015 in size 9D, but it was way too loose... so ended up returning it.

I'm a 31 but I went with a 30 - fit's great after a short cold soak.

haha I do wish it was fitted better... it was simply a duplicate of a shirt I had but in a different material. only $7

Looking to sell a beautiful pair of Alden 405's in size 8.5D. Some of you may have noticed that I posted comments saying the size I bought ended up running too snug; so I'm going to have to take a loss and sell this pair to buy myself a new pair (in fact, a size 9D is on its way right now )

Did a search on sizing previous to buying the boot but now I have some questions regarding fit after I actually own them (Alden 405).

I was recently fitted to a pair of Alden 405's at Boston Pedorthic. Since the size 9C would be out of stock for a long time (14 weeks they said), the pedorthist suggested I go with 8.5D instead. Upon trying on the boots after they received them in a shipment, the length was perfect but the boots were very snug. The pressure comes down from the top, near the end of the toebox, around where the laces start. My main concern is just that the leather will not stretch out enough to fit my foot a little better; again, the length is perfect and there is no pain at all, simply discomfort from the snugness (especially the left foot, which is a tiny bit bigger than my right foot).

What do you guys think; should I see if I can swap for a new size or see if the boot stretches out?

Just wanted to share my fit pic. These are the 5010xx 6x6 with the new Pima Cotton - I sized down by 1 inch, they were gruesome to get on after the cold soak but I managed to stretch them a tad while they were still drying.
