  1. I've got low arches myself and sticking the Trubalance last along with a Thomas heel (the curved orthopedic type heel) on the Indy's do my feet good. I don't pronate as much and my feet feel supported. I don't have a whole lot of experience with the Barrie last but it's got a different shape to it than the Trubalance last. For starters, the Barrie last has a higher instep.

  2. whats an aberdeen last? can someone explain the shape of this? is this wider than a plaza? narrower than barrie?
believe aberdeen is one of their narrower lasts...

I think it's the narrowest of all their lasts. Plaza isn't necessarily wide, but it's my favorite, has a nice chiseled shape with a very prominent ball and a hint of a square toe.

Can anyone with a lot of alden's on hand in different lasts do a comparison of how they look from the top, side, and bottom? It seems like epauletshop would be a good contender to do this. If they want, I'm in brooklyn and can do the photography if they'd let me...

I'm actually working on compiling a guide to all the different Alden lasts, it'll include various angles of the shoe/boot.

    So far I have:

    1. Trubalance
    2. Barrie
    3. Modified
    4. Grant
    5. Plaza
    6. Aberdeen
    7. Hampton
    8. Van
    9. Tremont

  3. Some of my other Aldens:

More to come! Picking up another pair of Indy's this week and ordering Tankers, Chukkas, and Longwings in the coming month or two :)

  4. Hey everyone,

I have up for sale a practically new Wings + Horns loop terry hoodie. Check out the pics and if you have any questions at all just ask me via PM.

Wings + Horns Loop Terry Hoodie

    Price: $130 Shipped OBO

This is a great hoodie, practically brand new (wore this once); I've just got too many of these things and I've got to get rid of some. Everyone knows how well W+H's stuff is made - it's definitely not a joke, the construction throughout the hoodie is superb, and the detailing from the contrast stitching to the smooth-as-butter zippers will be evident. I bought it for a bit over 200 just 1 month ago..

Shoulders: 18"-19" (reason for difference is because of the way the hoodie is constructed.

    Pit to Pit: 19.5"

Length: (from back of neck to bottom of hoodie) 25"

Sleeves: 34" (measured from the center of the cuff to center of the hoodie, a few inches below back of neck; like a way a dress shirt is measured)

    Here's a picture from Brigade:

  5. Thanks, there is a a ton of snow up here so I might go ahead and do it soon. Already put some along the edge of the welt as that looked untreated, and I didn't want water seeping in there.

Same here, what works best for me is just keeping a damp rag in the office and near the front door at home. Just give the boots a quick wipedown and you'll deff prolong their life.
