  1. The decision FH ^ DB was made so that more people would be able to afford the jeans...Really - I'm in love with FH denim - but why not try something different for less $$...
'Cause FH is proven to fade awesome and us tall boys have no chance to ever wear FH because of the inseam :(
  2. didn't quote the images but from the looks of things they've been worn pretty lightly. i wouldn't worry about the fading properties. indigo will fade out of denim regardless of the brand or dye method, all depends on how much love you put into them.

Not true at all. I've worn them every single day since I bought them. All day, weekends, I've slept in them a few times, gone out working in them around the house etc. Kiya and other people keep saying that it's not the denim that it's me, but I'm wearing as heavy as I can without going somewhere and getting them so dirty I'd have to wash them every other day. They're just really hard to break in I'm telling you.

  3. Am I the only one interested in a more straight fit jean? So far in my collection I have New Standards, Even Stevens, Dry Bones Red-D's....I'm kind into a straighter leg jean, and seeing as how these are going to come out in the Winter, having something heavier and baggier might be best for that time. I vote for a fit similar to this: dscn6248ay5.jpg

Those are the Bear x Eternals, and I think we should find those measurements and knock up something similar. I think a heavy weight denim would be awesome and a fit similar to that for the winter. Cold denim against your legs is fail.

This is ownage. I love it.

Nah, it's not FOR SURE. But it does seem that a lot of people are leaning that way because

    1) people have already seen tons of examples of the FH 3XXX denim (though if we did use FH denim, I think Kiya said we'd try to get the 5XXX),

    2) FH will be more expensive than DB, and

    3) we can customize more with DB than FH.

I would suggest not doing Dry Bones as well. I'd LOVE if it we could do some really heavy weight denim with these jeans as the release might be December, we could get some warm heavy duty jeans that people would want to wear non stop. I am in love with the wave I'm so glad you guys took that image I posted and added it to the bridge. This one and Jimmy's colored ones are the best so far.

  5. I really like the wave + names or the wave + bridge + names a lot. I don't care about them having a color, the whole patch can just be leather for all I care, but the wave I think adds a real nice touch, and the bridge adds that unique flare of where this is all about. Kiya, have we decided to do Dry Bones denim for sure or is there still hope for FH? :crossesfingers:

  6. i don't know..

anyone have any ideas they'd like to see made?

:D:D:D AWESOME. I LOVE IT. Even though I hope we don't end up using Dry Bones (as I have a pair I'm working on right now) I LOVE that. I think the wave is awesome, thanks for coming up with something using that picture!

edit: is the Dry Bones denim official? And if so, is it going to be the same as the Red-D denim/dying process? This would kinda be a big bummer for me, as I'm working on some Red-D's going on 4 months right now :(

  7. For the record, Dry Bones' Sushi Ear denim does NOT fade as slowly as a few have said. I've seen pairs in Japan that look to have some decent wear after only four or five months..
Eh, I dunno Kiya. I've got my pair I bought from you and I'm going on 4 months and I've worn them every single day all day since I got them and they're not very faded. The left whiskers are barely visible, the honeycombs and stacks have just come up and the right whiskers are so so.
  8. Whatever jean is picked, can it PLEASE shrink up to a 36 or 37 inseam so us taller guys can participate?

Having just bought a pair of Red-D's, I personally would LOVE to experience a flathead 3001 type denim that I could wear in a more relaxed fit than these Red-D's. I will never be able to wear the 3001s because of my height 6'4'' and I really want to experience some flathead denim. I vote for FH. Several members including myself are working on some Red-D's right now.

Japan Blue denim would be cool too! or something really thick.

  9. Real slow. I'm still wearing mine and only really seeing a wallet fade, the rivet fades, and a bit of honeycomb/crotch fades. These babies are tough. Thinking about cold soaking later.

  10. Man, these jeans are tough. I am 3+ months into these and I'm seeing little to no fading. I have stacks and honeycomb creasing, but VERY little blueing or fading. The only real color change is around the crotch (cock fade? *ugh*). I'm hoping that in 5 months when I can finally wash these fuckers, they maintain a lot of their color and don't wash out, as it seems they're pretty intense.

  11. updates always welcome :) especially for how dead this thread is: P

is it just my pair? or does the right leg seem to twist.. my outseam always positions to the front of my leg..

I get a left leg twist all the time on my jeans, must be my body. These jeans break in very hard imo.
