  1. well, im faced with the option of moving off anti-depressants or changing to a different medication. i think im gonna give them a break for a while, and see how i fare. ive felt better, but im doin alright these days. happier than ive been, chemically that is.

  2. im gonna be british for a week this summer

goin over and staying with my brother and his friends

seeing what mischief we can dig up.

i was just there in november, had an awesome time. i hadnt been there since i was 10. completely different experience this time around. i embraced the pub crawl and bittered myself blind practically.

then i went to stonehenge and listened to black sabbath and zeppelin, qotsa, and the like (wolfmother, etc. etc. etc. spinal tap)

awesome trip. glad im doing it again.

i went to school with this kid, he graduated last year. he is the ultimate in douchery - he even equates his "good looks" to tom cruise (he resembles a half-retarded tom cruise, more so than the fact that tom cruise is already half retarded - scientology and all...), and closes the deal by quoting top gun... all the time. i saw him in the gym the other day and he comes up to me and goes, "hey bro, you been partying much?" i respond, no, im too busy with school and the like and he returns, "oh man, you're not living man. all i do is party." the conversation floated around the subject of partying for about 5 minutes until i said that i wanted to finish up my work out. consequently i did and luckily have not seen him since.

  4. I usually size up on jeans because of shrinkage.. But most of my jeans i wear are 32..I didnt want it to be TOO tight..

im sure sizing down to either a 30-31 wouldnt hurt but i like a bit of room..

i can see that. good luck on them, mine are 3.5 months or so, and the honeycombs are only starting to stick, and i do a hell of a lot in these. but thgen again their in between other jeans mostly...

  5. ^^ maybe it wasnt so barbed as it was condescending?

definitely some undertones of elitism, from an outside perspective

    might be subconscious though

i can see that. i didnt intend any condescension by it, i was just explaining what i liked about it compared to their other albums.

  6. ^ was that reply so barbed because I neg repped you for thinking with your penis?

no, wasn't really barbed at all, i can see the sarcasm from ensuing posts... i already apologized for saying that before, it was a joke.. but if thats how you feel, by all means, the neg rep can stay. i got nothing against you.

regardless, i think its a good album.

if possible, can i get your thoughts on BRMC's Baby 81? if you know BRMC that is. im assuming you do.

but when we assume, we make an ass out of you and me teehee.

  7. I know everybody here is posting their high end designers lol..ill be getting my earnest sewns and uniqlos in the mail soon.. but for now:

H&M Sliq Fit W32, 5'9 135lbs. They taper around the lower part of the ankle..its TOO slim either.

my sliqs are much tighter than those and im wearing them in a 36, did you size up?

  8. It isn't. It's heartbreakingly bad, I miss the old queens, back before it was the Josh Homme Project.

The songs are messy, and not nearly as heavy or driving. God, it's so bad it makes me want to listen to Rated R over and over and over.

well, ive taken queens as they have evolved. i dont expect anything like the S/T anymore, though i love how heavy and loud it was. and i don't expect anything so left field as Desert Sessions or Rated R. i really like it, because they are good songs, and live, its gonna be even better, obviously for the fact that they're gonna be mixed with older tracks. I thought Lullabies was good too, but every moaned about it. i think this is an awesome album, and from a musicians standpoint, its very well done, not as messy as you think (ive listened to it about 3 times already) and the production is a little glossy, but works very well with the direction of the album. i like it a lot, and you're entitled to your own opinion.

  9. what are you going to do it on....?

i guess its gonna be a rehash/re-edit of a paper i did on the cultural impact of Jimi Hendrix's version of "Star Spangled Banner" at Woodstock and how it relates these days.

its already in my portfolio for college applications (writing portfolio, i have a film one that im working on as well), so its definately good.

  10. after deciding to write a research paper on Neon Bible and why it is such a phenomenom in popular culture, i think im gonna ditch it and write about some generic history topic.

plus, after listening to it a couple times, its not really that good.

  11. I've never heard of anyone raise their SAT by more than around 50-100 points because of those tutoring places, so unless 50-100 points means a lot to you then it almost doesn't matter. I've also heard people say that it's better to spring for one private lesson rather than pay the same for three our four group ones. I do pretty well on standardized tests for whatever reason, so I only did one private tutoring session and it raised my score about (on average) 50 points. Anyone else heard otherwise?

There's a lot of nonsense out there being perpetrated in the name of SATs by tutoring companies, it'd be interesting to see if anyone is in a position here to say what works best.

i go to a specialized 1on1 tutoring place. they tailor to your learning style and then have you paired with a tutor who will be able to teach you best in that way. they don't go by the princeton review, or andover method. they have their own kinda deal. more likely than not i can get each section up by 50-100 points, which is fine. if i get mid-to-high 1800's or low-1900's, im pretty happy with that. i never expect, or have expected to break 2000.

fuck sats, such a double standard motherfucking test.

  12. though i have already finished the college application due to being overly prepared, im worried about putting together my writing portfolio, getting everything in order, getting a better score on my SAT's (1790 first time, not looking very good prospectively. last PSAT i took at my tutoring place i only improved by 10 raw points on both math and reading, writing is always above 700...). i fucking hate this shit, i just wish i was in college.

  13. ... electro clash happened before nu-rave,

electro clash didn't start in america,

the rapture aren't an electro clash band

i hate people who read Spin and think they're wise.

i know electro clash started in the UK

i know the rapture aren't considered an "electro-clash band" (mirror EP would say otherwise)

i know Spin is a bunch of bullshit, so i don't read it

and i know that i was just making a generalization

  14. when i was at urban outfitters earlier this week (bought some undershirts thats it) i only saw chepa monday in the womens section. i browsed through and saw that they weren't labeled unisex, or could get any info from the people that worked there. not that they had my size or anything but...
